Mithali 10:31-32

31 Kinywa cha mwenye haki hutoa hekima;

Bali ulimi wa ukaidi utakatiliwa mbali.

32 Midomo ya mwenye haki huyajua yatakayokubaliwa;

Bali kinywa chao wasio haki hunena ukaidi.

Matumizi ya Ulimi;

PROVERBS 10:31-32

31 From the mouth of the righteous comes the fruit of wisdom,
    but a perverse tongue will be silenced.

32 The lips of the righteous know what finds favor,
    but the mouth of the wicked only what is perverse.

Solomon through Proverbs exhorts us to speak wisely as a way to be righteous. This is because in righteousness there is the guidance of the Holy Spirit, who enables us to speak words of wisdom.

Solomon admonishes us not to be stubborn. Stubborn language is the result of living without fear of God. Stubbornness is a state of disobedience, disobedience to instructions, and disrespect for authority. This morning we are called to meditate in speaking, so that our words may not be filled with stubbornness.

We are reminded to use our tongue to speak what is good, to the glory of God. The misuse of the tongue is an abomination to God. Make sure that you walk in the way of righteousness, so that your speech will not be rigid.

I wish you a happy and prosperous week.
