Matthew 10:1-15 New International Version (NIV)

1Jesus called his twelve disciples to him and gave them authority to drive out impure spirits and to heal every disease and sickness.

These are the names of the twelve apostles: first, Simon (who is called Peter) and his brother Andrew; James son of Zebedee, and his brother John; Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus; Simon the Zealot and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed him.

These twelve Jesus sent out with the following instructions: “Do not go among the Gentiles or enter any town of the Samaritans. Go rather to the lost sheep of Israel. As you go, proclaim this message: ‘The kingdom of heaven has come near.’ Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy,[a] drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.

“Do not get any gold or silver or copper to take with you in your belts— 10 no bag for the journey or extra shirt or sandals or a staff, for the worker is worth his keep. 11 Whatever town or village you enter, search there for some worthy person and stay at their house until you leave. 12 As you enter the home, give it your greeting. 13 If the home is deserving, let your peace rest on it; if it is not, let your peace return to you. 14 If anyone will not welcome you or listen to your words, leave that home or town and shake the dust off your feet. 15 Truly I tell you, it will be more bearable for Sodom and Gomorrah on the day of judgment than for that town.

Jesus is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.  His Kingdom is an eternal Kingdom.  Therefore, we must repent of our sins and rebellion against this King and trust in Him as our Savior.

To reject the message of Christ is to invite severe judgment.  Instead, we are to embrace the message of Christ and escape the wrath to come.

MATHAYO 10:1-15

1Akawaita wanafunzi wake kumi na wawili, akawapa amri juu ya pepo wachafu, wawatoe, na kupoza magonjwa yote na udhaifu wa kila aina.
Na majina ya hao mitume kumi na wawili ni haya; Wa kwanza Simoni aliyeitwa Petro, na Andrea nduguye; Yakobo wa Zebedayo, na Yohana nduguye;
Filipo, na Bartholomayo; Tomaso, na Mathayo mtoza ushuru; Yakobo wa Alfayo, na Thadayo;
Simoni Mkananayo, na Yuda Iskariote, naye ndiye mwenye kumsaliti.
Hao Thenashara Yesu aliwatuma, akawaagiza, akisema, Katika njia ya Mataifa msiende, wala katika mji wo wote wa Wasamaria msiingie.
Afadhali shikeni njia kuwaendea kondoo waliopotea wa nyumba ya Israeli.
Na katika kuenenda kwenu, hubirini, mkisema, Ufalme wa mbinguni umekaribia.
Pozeni wagonjwa, fufueni wafu, takaseni wenye ukoma, toeni pepo; mmepata bure, toeni bure.
Msichukue dhahabu, wala fedha, wala mapesa mishipini mwenu;
10 wala mkoba wa safari, wala kanzu mbili, wala viatu, wala fimbo; maana mtenda kazi astahili posho lake.
11 Na mji wo wote au kijiji cho chote mtakachoingia, tafuteni ni nani humo aliye mtu mwaminifu; mkae kwake hata mtakapotoka.
12 Nanyi mkiingia katika nyumba isalimuni.
13 Na nyumba ile ikistahili, amani yenu na iifikilie; la, kwamba haistahili, amani yenu na iwarudie ninyi.
14 Na mtu asipowakaribisha wala kuyasikiliza maneno yenu, mtokapo katika nyumba ile, au mji ule, kung'uteni mavumbi ya miguuni mwenu.
15 Amin, nawaambia, itakuwa rahisi nchi ya Sodoma na Gomora kustahimili adhabu ya siku ya hukumu, kuliko mji ule.

Yesu ni Mfalme wa wafalme na Bwana wa mabwana. Ufamle wake ni wa milele; hivyo, ni lazima kutubu dhambi zetu na uasi dhidi ya mfalme huyu, na kumwamini yeye kama Mwokozi wetu.

Kukataa ujumbe wa Yesu Kristo ni kuikaribisha hukumu. Badala yake, tuupokee ujumbe wa neno lake Kristo ili tuiepuke ile hukumu ijayo.
