Micah 6:9-16 New International Version (NIV)
Israel’s Guilt and Punishment
9 Listen! The Lord is calling to the city—
and to fear your name is wisdom—
“Heed the rod and the One who appointed it.[a]
10 Am I still to forget your ill-gotten treasures, you wicked house,
and the short ephah,[b] which is accursed?
11 Shall I acquit someone with dishonest scales,
with a bag of false weights?
12 Your rich people are violent;
your inhabitants are liars
and their tongues speak deceitfully.
13 Therefore, I have begun to destroy you,
to ruin[c] you because of your sins.
14 You will eat but not be satisfied;
your stomach will still be empty.[d]
You will store up but save nothing,
because what you save[e] I will give to the sword.
15 You will plant but not harvest;
you will press olives but not use the oil,
you will crush grapes but not drink the wine.
16 You have observed the statutes of Omri
and all the practices of Ahab’s house;
you have followed their traditions.
Therefore I will give you over to ruin
and your people to derision;
you will bear the scorn of the nations.[f]”

God warns the people through the prophet Micah. He tells them about the wrong things they have done. God says He will judge the people because of their sins.
Let us heed this warning too. Do not expect God to bless you when you mistreat other people and break God’s commandments.

MIKA 6:9-16
9 Sauti ya Bwana inaulilia mji, na mtu mwenye akili ataliona jina lako; isikieni hiyo fimbo na yeye aliyeiagiza.
10 Je! Hata sasa hazina za uovu zingalimo nyumbani mwa wabaya, na kipimo kilichopunguka, ambacho ni chukizo?
11 Je! Naweza kuwa safi nami nina mizani ya udhalimu, na mfuko wa mawe ya kupimia ya udanganyifu?
12 Kwa maana matajiri wake wamejaa jeuri, na wenyeji wake wamesema uongo, na ulimi wao una udanganyifu kichwani mwao.
13 Basi, kwa ajili ya hayo, mimi nami nimekupiga kwa pigo liumizalo sana; nimekufanya kuwa ukiwa, kwa sababu ya dhambi zako.
14 Utakula, lakini hutashiba; na fedheha yako itakuwa kati yako; nawe utahama, lakini hutachukua kitu salama; na hicho utakachochukua nitakitoa kwa upanga.
15 Utapanda, lakini hutavuna; utazikanyaga zeituni, lakini hutajipaka mafuta; na hizo zabibu, lakini hutakunywa divai.
16 Kwa maana amri za Omri ndizo zishikwazo, na matendo yote ya nyumba ya Ahabu, nanyi mnakwenda katika mashauri yao; ili nikufanye kuwa ukiwa, na wenyeji waliomo humo kuwa zomeo; nanyi mtayachukua matukano waliyotukanwa watu wangu.
Mungu anaonya watu wa Israel kupitia Nabii Mika. Waisraeli walimwaasi Mungu kwa kuvunja amri zake. Anataja orodha ya tabia zao mbaya. Mungu aliwaonya watu kwamba atawaadhibu kwa sababu ya dhambi zao.
Zingatia onyo hilo. Angalia maisha yako. Tusitegemee kubarikiwa na Mungu kama tunavunja amri zake na kutesa watu wengine.
