SATURDAY 30TH JUNE 2018 MORNING
Matthew 12:9-14 New International Version (NIV)
9 Going on from that place, he went into their synagogue, 10 and a man with a shriveled hand was there. Looking for a reason to bring charges against Jesus, they asked him, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?”
11 He said to them, “If any of you has a sheep and it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will you not take hold of it and lift it out? 12 How much more valuable is a person than a sheep! Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.”
13 Then he said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” So he stretched it out and it was completely restored, just as sound as the other. 14 But the Pharisees went out and plotted how they might kill Jesus.
The Pharisees often disagreed with Jesus. They thought that He was breaking the Jewish law healing people on the Sabbath since this counted as working on a Holy day of rest. But Jesus pointed out that it is right to do good on the Sabbath. Jesus showed His love and compassion by healing the sick every day not just on the Sabbath.
May God help us to show concern and help other people in what every way we can. Try to help someone today.

MATHAYO 12:9-14
9 Akaondoka huko, akaingia katika sinagogi lao.
10 Na tazama, yumo mtu mwenye mkono umepooza; wakamwuliza, wakisema, Ni halali kuponya watu siku ya sabato? Wapate kumshitaki.
11 Akawaambia, Ni mtu yupi miongoni mwenu mwenye kondoo mmoja, na yule kondoo ametumbukia shimoni siku ya sabato, asiyemshika akamwopoa?
12 Je! Mtu ni bora kuliko kondoo mara ngapi? Basi ni halali kutenda mema siku ya sabato.
13 Kisha akamwambia yule mtu, Nyosha mkono wako; akaunyosha, ukapona, ukawa mzima kama wa pili.
14 Lakini wale Mafarisayo wakatoka wakafanya shauri juu yake jinsi ya kumwangamiza.
Mafarisayo mara kwa mara hawakubaliana na Yesu Kristo. Hasa walikasirika wakiona anaponya wagonjwa siku ya Sabato. Waliona kufanya hivi ni kufanya kazi kinyume na utaratibu ya siku takatifu ya Sabato. Lakini Yesu aliwambia ni haki kufanya vitendo mema siku ya Sabato. Yesu alikuwa na huruma na alikuwa tayari kuponya wagonjwa siku zote siyo katika Sabato tu.
Tujali mahitaji ya watu wengine na tujitahidi kuwasaidia kwa njia mbalimbali. Jitahidi kumsaidia mtu leo.
