JUMANNE TAREHE 25 MEI 2021, ASUBUHI

Marko 12:35-36

Roho Mtakatifu nguvu yetu;

Leo asubuhi Yesu ananukuu Zaburi kama tunavyolisoma;

Siku njema.

Mark 12:35-36 New International Version

Whose Son Is the Messiah?

35 While Jesus was teaching in the temple courts, he asked, “Why do the teachers of the law say that the Messiah is the son of David? 36 David himself, speaking by the Holy Spirit, declared:

“‘The Lord said to my Lord:
    “Sit at my right hand
until I put your enemies
    under your feet.”’[a]

  1. Mark 12:36 Psalm 110:1

The Holy Spirit is our strength;

This morning Jesus is quoting the Psalms as we read;

Psalm 110: 1; The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool.

The verse Jesus quoted was a guarantee of victory, of David. Jesus confesses and tells the writers that David said this by the power of the Holy Spirit. That is, David acknowledged victory by the power of the Holy Spirit.

This is a true testimony, of Jesus himself. Jesus is the origin of David, who acknowledged victory by the power of the Holy Spirit. Jesus here teaches us to imitate David, that is, to seek success through the power of the Holy Spirit. When we put God first we are successful.

This is a call in daily life, that all we do is rely on the Holy Spirit, who is our strength. May God be with us, as we continue to rely on Him in all things, especially as we persevere in salvation with the help of the Holy Spirit.

Good day.
