TUESDAY 13TH NOVEMBER 2018 MORNING
Mark 13:14-23 New International Version (NIV)
14 “When you see ‘the abomination that causes desolation’[a] standing where it[b] does not belong—let the reader understand—then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 15 Let no one on the housetop go down or enter the house to take anything out. 16 Let no one in the field go back to get their cloak. 17 How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! 18 Pray that this will not take place in winter, 19 because those will be days of distress unequaled from the beginning, when God created the world, until now—and never to be equaled again.
20 “If the Lord had not cut short those days, no one would survive. But for the sake of the elect, whom he has chosen, he has shortened them.21 At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’ or, ‘Look, there he is!’ do not believe it. 22 For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. 23 So be on your guard; I have told you everything ahead of time.

Jesus was teaching His disciples about the end of the world and in verse 26 of this chapter He talks about His Second Coming. We know that Jesus will come again in Glory to judge the living and the dead. We don’t know when He will come. We might die first but we will meet Jesus. Let us prepare for His coming. Let us turn from sin and follow Jesus. May God help us to live today and every day as though it was our last day.

MARKO 13:14-23
14 Lakini mlionapo chukizo la uharibifu likisimama pasipolipasa, (asomaye na afahamu), ndipo walio katika Uyahudi na wakimbilie milimani;
15 na mtu aliye juu ya dari asishuke, wala asiingie kuchukua kitu nyumbani mwake;
16 naye aliye shambani asirudi nyuma kulichukua vazi lake.
17 Lakini ole wao wenye mimba, nao wanyonyeshao siku hizo!
18 Ila ombeni yasitokee hayo wakati wa baridi.
19 Kwa maana siku hizo zitakuwa na dhiki, jinsi isivyokuwa tangu mwanzo wa kuumba alipoumba Mungu hata sasa, wala haitakuwa kamwe.
20 Na kama Bwana asingalizikatiza siku hizo, asingeokoka mtu ye yote; lakini kwa ajili ya wateule aliowateua amezikatiza siku hizo.
21 Na wakati huo mtu akiwaambia, Tazama, Kristo yupo hapa, au yuko kule, msisadiki;
22 kwa maana wataondoka Makristo wa uongo, na manabii wa uongo, watatoa ishara na maajabu, wapate kuwadanganya, kama yamkini, hata hao wateule.
23 Bali ninyi jihadharini; nimekwisha kuwaonya yote mbele.
Yesu alikuwa anawafundisha wanafunzi wake kuhusu dalili za Siku za Mwisho. Katika mstari wa 26 wa mlango huu tunasoma kuhusu Ujio wa Yesu kwa utukufu. Tunajua kwamba Yesu atarudi kuhukumu walio hai na wafu. Hatujui atakuja lini, tujiandae, tuwe tayari. Tutubu dhambi zetu tumfuate Yesu na tutenea matendo mema. Tuishi leo na siku zote kama ni siku yetu ya mwisho.
