FRIDAY 22ND FEBRUARY 2019 MORNING
Judges 10:11-16 New International Version (NIV)
11 The Lord replied, “When the Egyptians, the Amorites, the Ammonites, the Philistines, 12 the Sidonians, the Amalekites and the Maonites[a]oppressed you and you cried to me for help, did I not save you from their hands? 13 But you have forsaken me and served other gods, so I will no longer save you. 14 Go and cry out to the gods you have chosen. Let them save you when you are in trouble!”
15 But the Israelites said to the Lord, “We have sinned. Do with us whatever you think best, but please rescue us now.” 16 Then they got rid of the foreign gods among them and served the Lord. And he could bear Israel’s misery no longer.

God is merciful and loving and willing to forgive us when we repent. God forgave the Israelites when they repented and turned back to Him. We must trust in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour and repent our sins and do our best to obey God always.
Let us not be rebellious but rather humble and obedient to God.

WAAMUZI 10:11-16
11 Naye Bwana akawaambia wana wa Israeli, Je! Sikuwaokoa ninyi na hao Wamisri, na Waamori, na wana wa Amoni, na Wafilisti?
12 Hao Wasidoni nao, na Waamaleki, na Wamaoni, waliwaonea, nanyi mlinililia, nami niliwaokoa na mikono yao.
13 Lakini mmeniacha mimi, na kuitumikia miungu mingine; basi kwa ajili ya hayo mimi sitawaokoa tena.
14 Haya, endeni mkaililie hiyo miungu mliyoichagua; na hiyo iwaokoe wakati wa kusumbuka kwenu.
15 Wana wa Israeli wakamwambia Bwana Tumefanya dhambi; utufanyie yote uyaonayo kuwa ni mema; lakini tuokoe, twakusihi, siku hii ya leo, haya tu.
16 Nao wakaiondoa hiyo miungu ya kigeni iliyokuwa kati yao, nao wakamtumikia Bwana; na roho yake ilihuzunika kwa sababu ya msiba wa Israeli.
Mungu ni mwenye upendo na huruma na yuko tayari kumsamehe mtu mwenye dhambi anayetubu kweli. Waisraeli walimwaasi Mungu mara kwa mara. Lakini walipotubu na kurejea Mungu na kuacha miungu mengine, Mungu alikuwa tayari kuwasamehe na kuwabariki.
Sisi Wakristo tumwamini Yesu Kristo na tutubu dhambi zetu na tujitahidi kufanya mapenzi ya Mungu. Tusiwe waasi bali tuwe wanyenyekevu na tumtii Mungu.
