John 9:1-5 New International Version (NIV)

Jesus Heals a Man Born Blind

1 As he went along, he saw a man blind from birth. His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”

“Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” said Jesus, “but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him. As long as it is day, we must do the works of him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work. While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”

The Jews thought that disability was a punishment for sin on the part of the parents or the disabled person. Jesus showed that this is not true. Jesus had compassion on the sick and disabled and healed many of them. Jesus is also making an analogy between physical and spiritual blindness. Jesus is the light of the World. He comes to remove both physical and spiritual darkness so that we can see clearly.

Trust in Jesus and let Him shine His light into your life.

YOHANA 9:1-5

1 Hata alipokuwa akipita alimwona mtu, kipofu tangu kuzaliwa.
