WEDNESDAY 11TH APRIL 2018 MORNING
John 6:66-71 New International Version (NIV)
66 From this time many of his disciples turned back and no longer followed him.
67 “You do not want to leave too, do you?” Jesus asked the Twelve.
68 Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. 69 We have come to believe and to know that you are the Holy One of God.”
70 Then Jesus replied, “Have I not chosen you, the Twelve? Yet one of you is a devil!” 71 (He meant Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot, who, though one of the Twelve, was later to betray him.)
The Apostle Peter spoke for himself and the other 10 apostles, excluding Judas Iscariot. They had spent many months with Jesus and watched how He reacted in different situations. They heard His teaching and observed His miracles and His prayers. They knew that Jesus is God who gives Eternal Life.
Do you truly know Jesus? Are you willing to follow Him?

YOHANA 6:66-71
66 Kwa ajili ya hayo wengi miongoni mwa wanafunzi wake wakarejea nyuma, wasiandamane naye tena.
67 Basi Yesu akawaambia wale Thenashara, Je! Ninyi nanyi mwataka kuondoka?
68 Basi Simoni Petro akamjibu, Bwana! Twende kwa nani? Wewe unayo maneno ya uzima wa milele.
69 Nasi tumesadiki, tena tumejua, ya kuwa wewe ndiwe Mtakatifu wa Mungu.
70 Yesu akawajibu, Je! Mimi sikuwachagua ninyi Thenashara, na mmoja wenu ni shetani?
71 Alimnena Yuda, mwana wa Simoni Iskariote; maana huyo ndiye atakayemsaliti; naye ni mmojawapo wa wale Thenashara.
Mtume Petro mara kwa mara alisema kwa niaba ya Mitume wengine. Alitamka mawazo yake binafsi na ya wengine, kasoro Yuda Iskariote. Mitume walikuwa karibu sana na Yesu Kristo kwa zaidi ya miaka mitatu. Walisikiliza mafundisho ya Yesu. Waliona miujiza yake na kusikia maombi yake. Walitambua kwamba Yesu ni Mungu na anatuletea maisha ya milele.
Je! Unamfahamu vizuri Yesu Kristo. Unamfuata Yesu Kristo?
