MONDAY 15TH APRIL 2019 MORNING
John 2:23-25 New International Version (NIV)
23 Now while he was in Jerusalem at the Passover Festival, many people saw the signs he was performing and believed in his name.[a] 24 But Jesus would not entrust himself to them, for he knew all people. 25 He did not need any testimony about mankind, for he knew what was in each person.

Every year all Jewish men were supposed to go to Jerusalem for the Passover Festival. Jesus’ death on the cross took place at the time of the Passover festival. However the Passover mentioned in this passage seems to have been near the beginning of Jesus’ Public Ministry. Jesus realized that not everyone who followed Him had a true understanding of who He is and a sincere faith.
Even today people come to Jesus with different motives.
We should seek Jesus Himself and not just want to see miracles.

YOHANA 2:23-35
23 Hata alipokuwapo Yerusalemu kwenye sikukuu wakati wa Pasaka, watu wengi waliamini jina lake, walipoziona ishara zake alizozifanya.
24 Lakini Yesu hakujiaminisha kwao; kwa kuwa yeye aliwajua wote;
25 na kwa sababu hakuwa na haja ya mtu kushuhudia habari za mwanadamu; kwa maana yeye mwenyewe alijua yaliyomo ndani ya mwanadamu.
Kila mwaka Yesu kama Myahudi mwaminifu alikwenda Yerusalemu wakati wa Pasaka kwa ajili ya Siku kuu. Yesu alikufa msalabani wakati wa Pasaka wa Kiyahudi. Lakini wakati huu iliotajwa juu inaonekana kwamba ni Pasaka nyingine mwanzo wa huduma ya Yesu Kristo.
Watu wengi waliona miujiza yake na kumfuata. Lakini Yesu alijua sio wote walikuwa na imani ya kweli.
Tujitadhari kumfuata Yesu ili kuona miujiza tu. Tumwamini Yesu mwenyewe kama Bwana na Mwokozi wetu.
