Exodus 36:2-7 New International Version (NIV)
2 Then Moses summoned Bezalel and Oholiab and every skilled person to whom the Lord had given ability and who was willing to come and do the work. 3 They received from Moses all the offerings the Israelites had brought to carry out the work of constructing the sanctuary. And the people continued to bring freewill offerings morning after morning. 4 So all the skilled workers who were doing all the work on the sanctuary left what they were doing 5 and said to Moses, “The people are bringing more than enough for doing the work the Lord commanded to be done.”
6 Then Moses gave an order and they sent this word throughout the camp: “No man or woman is to make anything else as an offering for the sanctuary.” And so the people were restrained from bringing more, 7 because what they already had was more than enough to do all the work.
Today I will share with you a story of a woman who was deeply moved by a message one Sunday. She had nothing to give when the offering plate came to her. She received the plate from the usher and hesitated, with tears flowing down her cheeks she desperately wished she had something to give. Finally, she stepped into the aisle and placed the offering plate on the floor. She surprised everyone by stepping into the plate and offering herself.
Stewardship is not just about how much of what I own will I give to God. It’s about how much of me am I willing to give. God requires us to give ourselves to Him before we give what we have.
JUMAPILI TAREHE 22 SEPTEMBA 2019 ASUBUHI
KUTOKA 36:2-7
2 Basi Musa akawaita Bezaleli na Oholiabu, na kila mtu aliyekuwa na moyo wa akili, ambaye Bwana alimtia moyoni mwake hekima, kila mtu ambaye moyo wake ulimhimiza ili aende kuifanya kazi hiyo;
4 Na hao watu wote wenye hekima, waliotumika katika kazi yote ya mahali patakatifu, wakaenda kila mtu kutoka katika kazi yake aliyokuwa akiifanya;
