TUESDAY 26TH FEBRUARY 2019 MORNING
Daniel 4:31-34 New International Version (NIV)
31 Even as the words were on his lips, a voice came from heaven, “This is what is decreed for you, King Nebuchadnezzar: Your royal authority has been taken from you. 32 You will be driven away from people and will live with the wild animals; you will eat grass like the ox. Seven times will pass by for you until you acknowledge that the Most High is sovereign over all kingdoms on earth and gives them to anyone he wishes.”
33 Immediately what had been said about Nebuchadnezzar was fulfilled. He was driven away from people and ate grass like the ox. His body was drenched with the dew of heaven until his hair grew like the feathers of an eagle and his nails like the claws of a bird.
34 At the end of that time, I, Nebuchadnezzar, raised my eyes toward heaven, and my sanity was restored. Then I praised the Most High; I honored and glorified him who lives forever.
His dominion is an eternal dominion;
his kingdom endures from generation to generation.
King Nebuchadnezzar was condemned by God for his pride. He wanted to be worshipped in place of the one true God. Because of this he was punished by God but later he was given a chance to repent and his sanity was restored.
Let us not be proud. Let us give God the honour and worship which He alone deserves.

31 Hata neno lile lilipokuwa katika kinywa cha mfalme, sauti ilikuja kutoka mbinguni, ikisema, Ee mfalme Nebukadreza, maneno haya unaambiwa wewe; Ufalme huu umeondoka kwako.
32 Nawe utafukuzwa mbali na wanadamu, na makao yako yatakuwa pamoja na wanyama wa kondeni; utalishwa majani kama ng'ombe, na nyakati saba zitapita juu yako, hata utakapojua ya kuwa Aliye juu ndiye anayemiliki katika ufalme wa wanadamu, naye humpa amtakaye, awaye yote.
33 Saa iyo hiyo jambo hilo likatimizwa, likampata Nebukadreza; alifukuzwa mbali na wanadamu, akala majani kama ng'ombe, na mwili wake ulilowa maji kwa umande wa mbinguni, hata nywele zake zikakua, zikawa kama manyoya ya tai, na kucha zake kama kucha za ndege.
34 Hata mwisho wa siku hizo, mimi, Nebukadreza, nikainua macho yangu kuelekea mbingu, fahamu zangu zikanirudia; nikamhimidi Yeye aliye juu, nikamsifu na kumheshimu Yeye aishiye milele; kwa maana mamlaka yake ni mamlaka ya milele, na ufalme wake hudumu toka kizazi hata kizazi;
Mfalme Nebukadreza alikuwa na kiburi sana. Alitengeneza sanamu yake na alitaka watu kumwabudu. Alitaka kupata sifa na heshima ambayo Mungu wa kweli tu anastahili. Kwa sababu hii alipewa adhabu.
Tuwe wanyenyekevu. Tumwabudu Mungu wa Kweli.
