THURSDAY 25TH APRIL 2019 MORNING
1 Corinthians 5:6-8 New International Version (NIV)
6 Your boasting is not good. Don’t you know that a little yeast leavens the whole batch of dough? 7 Get rid of the old yeast, so that you may be a new unleavened batch—as you really are. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed. 8 Therefore let us keep the Festival, not with the old bread leavened with malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
Since we are in Christ our lives should be changed. We belong to the New Covenant. We are saved by the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ shed for us on the cross. We have also been given the gift of the Holy Spirit to guide our lives and to produce spiritual fruit. Let us rid our lives of all that is not pleasing to God and walk in step with the Holy Spirit day by day and hour by hour.

1 KORINTHO 5:6-8
6 Kujisifu kwenu si kuzuri. Hamjui kwamba chachu kidogo hulichachusha donge zima?
7 Basi, jisafisheni, mkatoe ile chachu ya kale, mpate kuwa donge jipya, kama vile mlivyo hamkutiwa chachu. Kwa maana Pasaka wetu amekwisha kutolewa kuwa sadaka, yaani, Kristo;
8 basi na tuifanye karamu, si kwa chachu ya kale, wala kwa chachu ya uovu na ubaya, bali kwa yasiyochachika, ndio weupe wa moyo na kweli.
Kama wafuasi wa Yesu tupo ndani ya Kristo. Tumeokolewa kwa damu yake ya thamani iliyomwagwa msalabani. Tupo ndani ya Agano Jipya na siyo chini ya sheria. Pia tumepewa zawadi ya Roho Mtakatifu kuongoza maisha yetu. Kwa hiyo tuache tamaa za mwili na tabia zisizompendeza Mungu. Bali tuongozwe na Roho Mtakatifu kila wakati.
