Psalm 96:1-4 New International Version (NIV)
1 Sing to the Lord a new song;
sing to the Lord, all the earth.
2 Sing to the Lord, praise his name;
proclaim his salvation day after day.
3 Declare his glory among the nations,
his marvelous deeds among all peoples.
4 For great is the Lord and most worthy of praise;
he is to be feared above all gods.
God deserves, desires, and demands our worship! We have been created to worship God. Each of us is a worshipper. His greatness is the main reason for the worship and praise.
He is great in dignity, in power, in mercy; and therefore ‘greatly to be praised’ by every creature.
God deserves worship from the entire earth because He is not like the gods and idols of the pagans. He is the Creator who made the heavens and earth.

ZABURI 96:1-4
1 Mwimbieni Bwana wimbo mpya, Mwimbieni Bwana, nchi yote.
2 Mwimbieni Bwana, libarikini jina lake, Tangazeni wokovu wake siku kwa siku.
3 Wahubirini mataifa habari za utukufu wake, Na watu wote habari za maajabu yake.
4 Kwa kuwa Bwana ni mkuu mwenye kusifiwa sana. Na wa kuhofiwa kuliko miungu yote.
Mungu anastahili, anapenda na anahitaji tumwabudu.
Tumeumbwa ili tumwabudu Mungu. Kila mmoja wetu ni mtu wa ibada. Ukuu wa Mungu ni sababu kuu ya kumwabudu na kumtukuza.
Yeye ni mkuu katika heshima, na nguvu, mwenye rehema nyingi; na hivyo ni mkuu mwenye kusifiwa na viumbe vyote.
Mungu anastahili kuabudiwa na ulimwengu wote kwa sababu yeye siyo kama miungu na sanamu za wapagani. Yeye ndiye aliyeumba mbingu na nchi.
