WEDNESDAY 15TH AUGUST 2018 MORNING
Luke 14:7-11 New International Version (NIV)
7 When he noticed how the guests picked the places of honor at the table, he told them this parable: 8 “When someone invites you to a wedding feast, do not take the place of honor, for a person more distinguished than you may have been invited. 9 If so, the host who invited both of you will come and say to you, ‘Give this person your seat.’ Then, humiliated, you will have to take the least important place.10 But when you are invited, take the lowest place, so that when your host comes, he will say to you, ‘Friend, move up to a better place.’ Then you will be honored in the presence of all the other guests. 11 For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.”
We all like respect and praise. But let us all respect and give due honour to others. Let us not try to take the best place. Remember Jesus Himself was very humble. He left the glory of heaven and was born in a stable. God will bless us if we are humble.

LUKA 14:7-11
7 Akawaambia mfano wale walioalikwa, alipoona jinsi walivyochagua viti vya mbele; akisema,
8 Ukialikwa na mtu arusini, usiketi katika kiti cha mbele; isiwe kwamba amealikwa mtu mwenye kustahiwa kuliko wewe,
9 akaja yule aliyewaalika wewe na yeye, na kukuambia, Mpishe huyu! Ndipo utakapoanza kwa haya kushika mahali pa nyuma.
10 Bali ukialikwa, nenda ukaketi mahali pa nyuma, ili ajapo yule aliyekualika akuambie, Rafiki yangu, njoo huku mbele zaidi; ndipo utakapokuwa na utukufu mbele ya wote walioketi pamoja nawe.
11 Kwa maana kila ajikwezaye atadhiliwa, naye ajidhiliye atakwezwa.
Sote tunapenda kuheshimiwa na kusifiwa. Lakini heshimu pia watu wengine. Tusitamani kupata Nafasi bora zaidi. Turidhike na Nafasi Mungu aliyotupa na tuwe waaminfu.
Yesu Kristo alikuwa mnyenyekevu sana. Yesu aliacha utukufu wa mbinguni na kujishusha kuzaliwa katika banda la ng’ombe. Tuwe wanyenyekevu na Mungu atatuinua.
