Mithali 10:16-17

Mungu huwapinga wenye kiburi lakini huwapa wanyenyekevu neema;

Siku njema.

FRIDAY 20TH AUGUST 2021, MORNING

PROVERBS 10:16-17 (NIV)

16 The wages of the righteous is life,
    but the earnings of the wicked are sin and death.

17 Whoever heeds discipline shows the way to life,
    but whoever ignores correction leads others astray.

God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble;

Solomon admits that being righteous leads to life. He means that in good works there is justice, so to the way of life. On the contrary, wickedness leads a person to sin, and thus to destruction.

This morning we are instructed to be humble when we make mistakes, doing what is right in the way of life.

We know that, if we are humble, the way to life is open, but if we remain in sin, we will perish.
