Psalm 119:73-80 New International Version (NIV)

73 Your hands made me and formed me;
give me understanding to learn your commands.
74 May those who fear you rejoice when they see me,
for I have put my hope in your word.
75 I know, Lord, that your laws are righteous,
and that in faithfulness you have afflicted me.
76 May your unfailing love be my comfort,
according to your promise to your servant.
77 Let your compassion come to me that I may live,
for your law is my delight.
78 May the arrogant be put to shame for wronging me without cause;
but I will meditate on your precepts.
79 May those who fear you turn to me,
those who understand your statutes.
80 May I wholeheartedly follow your decrees,
that I may not be put to shame.
Psalm 119 is the longest Psalm. It is full of praise for God’s Word. Even in these verses the Psalmist speaks of learning God’s commands and hoping in His word and understanding His statutes. Do you truly value God’s Word? Do you claim God’s promises and obey His commandments.

73 Mikono yako ilinifanya ikanitengeneza, Unifahamishe nikajifunze maagizo yako.
74 Wakuchao na wanione na kufurahi, Kwa sababu nimelingojea neno lako.
75 Najua ya kuwa hukumu zako ni za haki, Ee Bwana, na kwa uaminifu umenitesa.
76 Nakuomba, fadhili zako ziwe faraja kwangu, Sawasawa na ahadi yako kwa mtumishi wako.
77 Rehema zako zinijie nipate kuishi, Maana sheria yako ni furaha yangu.
78 Wenye kiburi waaibike, maana wamenidhulumu kwa uongo, Mimi nitayatafakari mausia yako.
79 Wakuchao na wanirudie, Nao watazijua shuhuda zako.
80 Moyo wangu na uwe mkamilifu katika amri zako, Nisije mimi nikaaibika.
Zaburi 119 ni zaburi ndefu kuliko zote. Ni zaburi iliyojaa sifa kwa Neno la Mungu. Katika mistari hapa juu mtunga zaburi anataja Neno la Mungu kama maagizo, mausia, na ahadi.
Anaonyesha jinsi anathamini Neno la Mungu.
