Proverbs 11:1-7 New International Version (NIV)
1 The Lord detests dishonest scales,
but accurate weights find favor with him.
2 When pride comes, then comes disgrace,
but with humility comes wisdom.
3 The integrity of the upright guides them,
but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity.
4 Wealth is worthless in the day of wrath,
but righteousness delivers from death.
5 The righteousness of the blameless makes their paths straight,
but the wicked are brought down by their own wickedness.
6 The righteousness of the upright delivers them,
but the unfaithful are trapped by evil desires.
7 Hopes placed in mortals die with them;
all the promise of[a] their power comes to nothing.

Let us meditate upon the good advice given to us in these words from Proverbs. May God help us to be faithful in all areas of our lives. Aim to give your best in whatever you do, remembering that your service is ultimately for God. Let us aim to provide good products and services in our businesses at a fair price. In our employment or studies let us work to the best of our abilities and not try to cut corners or do something in a dishonest way. Let us remember that we are Christ’s representatives here on earth. Let us always strive to live in a way which is pleasing to Him.

MITHALI 11:1-7
1 Mizani ya hadaa ni chukizo kwa Bwana; Bali vipimo vilivyo sawasawa humpendeza.
2 Kijapo kiburi ndipo ijapo aibu; Bali hekima hukaa na wanyenyekevu.
3 Ukamilifu wao wenye haki utawaongoza Bali ukaidi wao wenye fitina utawaangamiza.
4 Mali hazifaidii kitu siku ya ghadhabu; Bali haki huokoa na mauti.
5 Haki yake mtu mkamilifu itamwongoza njia yake; Bali mtu mwovu ataanguka kwa uovu wake.
6 Haki yao wenye haki itawaokoa; Bali wafanyao fitina watanaswa kwa hila yao wenyewe.
7 Mtu mwovu atakapokufa, taraja lake lapotea; Na matumaini ya uovu huangamia.
Tutafakari kuhusu maneno ya hekima hapo juu. Tufuate ushauri. Kama tunafanya biashara tufanye kwa uaminifu. Tusipunje vipimo au kutoa bidhaa ambazo ni chini ya kiwango. Tutijahidi kutoa huduma na bidhaa bora kwa bei iliyo sahihi. Kama tumeajriwa tufanye kazi zetu kwa bidii na uaminifu, tukikumbuka tunafanya kwa Mungu hasa, siyo kwa wanadamu. Hata kama tu wanafunzi tusome kwa bidii na tusijaribiwe kuiba mtihani. Sisi ni mabalozi wa Yesu duniani. Tumwakilishe vizuri Bwana na Mwokozi wetu.
