THURSDAY 26TH JANUARY 2017 MORNING
Numbers 24:12-16 New International Version (NIV)
12 Balaam answered Balak, “Did I not tell the messengers you sent me,13 ‘Even if Balak gave me all the silver and gold in his palace, I could not do anything of my own accord, good or bad, to go beyond the command of the Lord—and I must say only what the Lord says’? 14 Now I am going back to my people, but come, let me warn you of what this people will do to your people in days to come.”
Balaam’s Fourth Message
15 Then he spoke his message:
“The prophecy of Balaam son of Beor,
the prophecy of one whose eye sees clearly,
16 the prophecy of one who hears the words of God,
who has knowledge from the Most High,
who sees a vision from the Almighty,
who falls prostrate, and whose eyes are opened:
Balaam was obedient to God. He was faithful in delivering the message which God gave him. He would not change the message in order to please people.
What about you? Are you faithful to God? Do you listen to His voice and obey Him? Or perhaps you are more concerned about what people think about you rather than what God thinks about you.

HESABU 24:12-16
12 Balaamu akamwambia Balaki, Je! Sikuwaambia wajumbe wako ulionipelekea, nikisema,
13 Kama Balaki angenipa nyumba yake imejaa fedha na dhahabu, siwezi kupita mpaka wa neno la Bwana, kutenda neno jema, wala neno baya, kwa nia yangu mwenyewe; Bwana atakalolinena ndilo nitakalolinena mimi.
14 Basi sasa, tazama, ninakwenda kwa watu wangu; haya, nitakuarifu mambo ambayo watu hawa watakayowatenda watu wako siku za mwisho.
15 Akatunga mithali yake akasema, Balaamu mwana wa Beori asema, Yule mtu aliyefumbwa macho asema,
16 Asema, yeye asikiaye maneno ya Mungu, Na kuyajua maarifa yake Aliye Juu. Yeye aonaye maono ya Mwenyezi, Akianguka kifudifudi, amefumbuliwa macho,
Balaamu alikuwa mwaminifu kwa Mungu. Alitoa ujumbe aliopewa na Mungu kwa usahihi. Balaamu hakuwa tayari kubadilisha ujumbe ili kufurahisha wasikilizaji.
Wewe! Uaminifu katika kazi yako yote? Unafanya yale ambayo Mungu akuagiza? Au unajali sifa kutoka binadamu kuliko kutekeleza mapenzi ya Mungu?
