JUMANNE TAREHE 24 AGOSTI 2021, ASUBUHI.

Mithali 26:22-24

22 Maneno ya mchongezi ni kama vitoweo.

Nayo hushukia pande za ndani za tumbo.

23 Midomo ijipendekezayo pamoja na moyo mbaya

Ni kama kigae kilichofunikizwa taka za fedha.

24 Achukiaye huficha chuki kwa midomo yake;

Naye huweka akiba ya hila moyoni mwake

Matumizi ya ulimi;

Siku njema.

TUESDAY 24TH AUGUST 2021, MORNING.

PROVERBS 26:22-24 (NIV)

22 The words of a gossip are like choice morsels;
    they go down to the inmost parts.

23 Like a coating of silver dross on earthenware
    are fervent[a] lips with an evil heart.
24 Enemies disguise themselves with their lips,
    but in their hearts they harbour deceit.

Footnotes

  1. Proverbs 26:23 Hebrew; Septuagint smooth

Use of the tongue;

This morning we are given a message that prevents us from flattering ourselves. Self-indulgence is for self-interest, where the subject is willing to do anything to achieve his or her goals, including saying anything.

We are also reminded of the absence of hatred, which, when it fills the heart, causes us to speak ill of our fellow man.

Both, selfishness and hatred can be the beginning or the cause of the misuse of the tongue. Examine yourself in this regard, to avoid the misuse of the tongue.

Good day.
