Mithali 22:22-29

22 Usimnyang'anye maskini, kwa kuwa ni maskini; Wala usimdhulumu mtu mnyonge langoni;
23 Kwa sababu Bwana atawatetea; Naye atawateka uhai wao waliowateka.
24 Usifanye urafiki na mtu mwenye hasira nyingi; Wala usiende na mtu wa ghadhabu nyingi;
25 Usije ukajifunza njia zake; Na kujipatia nafsi yako mtego.
26 Usiwe mmoja wao wawekao rehani; Au walio wadhamini kwa deni za watu;

Mwenendo wenu uwe na hekima;

Siku njema.

PROVERBS 22:22-29 (NIV)

Saying 2

22 Do not exploit the poor because they are poor
    and do not crush the needy in court,
23 for the Lord will take up their case
    and will exact life for life.

Saying 3

24 Do not make friends with a hot-tempered person,
    do not associate with one easily angered,
25 or you may learn their ways
    and get yourself ensnared.

Saying 4

26 Do not be one who shakes hands in pledge
    or puts up security for debts;
27 if you lack the means to pay,
    your very bed will be snatched from under you.

Saying 5

28 Do not move an ancient boundary stone
    set up by your ancestors.

Saying 6

29 Do you see someone skilled in their work?
    They will serve before kings;
    they will not serve before officials of low rank.

Be wise in your behavior;

This morning we are given by the Lord, words of wisdom, which teach us good manners. We are taught not to oppress the poor, not to have bad friends, not to remove boundaries (not to be oppressive), and to be diligent in our work.

The main message is to live by doing good, guided by the wisdom of God. Not only do we live by doing good, but we also show our good by proclaiming the kingdom of God. Pray for God's wisdom to live a good life.

Good day.
