Mithali 13:21-22

21 Uovu huwaandamia wenye dhambi; Bali mwenye haki atalipwa mema.

Haki huinua taifa bali dhambi ni aibu ya watu wo wote;

Nakutakia siku njema.

PROVERBS 13:21-22 (NIV)

21 Trouble pursues the sinner,
    but the righteous are rewarded with good things.

22 A good person leaves an inheritance for their children’s children,
    but a sinner’s wealth is stored up for the righteous.

Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a shame to any people.

The destiny of the righteous is to be rewarded with good. As believers, our destiny depends on our lives in the Faith. As sinners we will end up wicked and perish.

The lesson shows us that good deeds live, that is, they are the best inheritance from one generation to the next. But the offender's property is just a savings.

Here the Church is directed to persevere in her mission in righteousness, to persevere in piety. The church is not supposed to raise a generation of wicked people. The church is me and you. Let us fulfil our duty to be righteous, so that the Church of God may remain in its purpose and responsibility.

I wish you a good day.
