Matthew 8:1-4

Matthew 8:1-4 New International Version (NIV)

1When Jesus came down from the mountainside, large crowds followed him. A man with leprosy[a] came and knelt before him and said, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.”

Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!” Immediately he was cleansed of his leprosy. Then Jesus said to him, “See that you don’t tell anyone. But go, show yourself to the priest and offer the gift Moses commanded, as a testimony to them.”

The leaper considered his own situation and found that he did not deserve cleansing from Jesus; and said to Him, Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean. If we consider our spiritual situation before God, we find that we have a lot to thank and praise Him than to grumble. We are sinful, Jesus is holy; and we do not deserve anything from Him but His Love and mercy overcomes our humanity. We are what we are, only by the grace of God.

JUMATATU TAREHE 31 AGOSTI 2020 ASUBUHI

MATHAYO 8:1-4

1Naye aliposhuka mlimani, makutano mengi walimfuata.
2 Na tazama, akaja mtu mwenye ukoma akamsujudia, akisema, Bwana, ukitaka, waweza kunitakasa.
3 Yesu akanyosha mkono, akamgusa, akisema Nataka; takasika.
