Mathayo 9:35-37

Yesu Kristo ni Mchungaji mwema;

Asubuhi hii tujifunze;

Sisi ndiyo watendakazi tunaoitwa kuwaleta kondoo wenzetu zizini. Unatimiza wajibu wako katika hili?

Nakutakia Juma jema.

MONDAY 19TH APRIL 2021, MORNING

Mathew 9:35-37  New International version.

35 Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. 36 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. 37 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.

Jesus Christ is the Good Shepherd;

After the Sermon on the Mount (Mat. 5-7) Jesus continues his ministry from chapter 8 which, along with the teachings, accompanied by various signs.

We see in the lesson this morning, the crowds that followed Jesus until they looked tired, until Jesus took pity on them because He saw them as sheep without a Shepherd.

This morning let's learn;

1. The crowds followed Jesus for a long time. These give us a picture of sitting at Jesus' feet all the time. They teach us eternal life in the Faith, which is to live according to the will of God. What is your role in that?

2. Jesus has compassion for the crowds, who are tired and scattered like sheep without a shepherd. This compassion is what identifies Jesus as the Good Shepherd. But Jesus is also our compassionate Shepherd. He calls us to come to Him at all times, He watches over us. Our responsibility is to respond and remain in the fold.

3. God sends us to do His work by bringing people to Him. That is why he says the harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. We are the workers called to bring our fellow sheep into the fold. Are you fulfilling your role in this?

Have a good week.
