JUMATANO TAREHE 29 SEPTEMBA 2021, ASUBUHI
Mathayo 6:24-25
24 Hakuna mtu awezaye kutumikia mabwana wawili; kwa maana atamchukia huyu, na kumpenda huyu; ama atashikamana na huyu, na kumdharau huyu. Hamwezi kumtumikia Mungu na mali.
25 Kwa sababu hiyo nawaambieni, Msisumbukie maisha yenu, mle nini au mnywe nini; wala miili yenu, mvae nini. Maisha je! Si zaidi ya chakula, na mwili zaidi ya mavazi?
Uchaguzi wa busara;
Somo la leo ni mwendelezo wa mahubiri au hotuba ya mlimani, Yesu alipofundisha juu ya wanadamu kumwamini na kumtumikia Mungu kwa uaminifu. Yesu anaonesha kuwa hakuna uwezekano wa kuwatumikia mabwana wawili!
Kwa maana hiyo Yesu anatuita kumtumikia BWANA mmoja, bila shaka Yesu Kristo. Na kwa kumtumikia Yesu Kristo, tusisumbukie mahitaji yetu. Tukimwomba yeye, tukafanya kazi kwa bidii na maarifa, yeye hutupa mahitaji yetu.
Kumwamini Yesu halafu tukaishi maisha ya dhambi ni kuwatumikia mabwana wawili, maana pia unapotenda dhambi unakuwa ibadani ukimwabudu shetani. Yesu anatuita kuchagua kumtumikia yeye, aliye mwokozi wetu, ili tuwe na mwisho mwema.

24 “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.
Do Not Worry
25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?
Choosing wisely;
Today's lesson is a continuation of the Sermon on the Mount, where Jesus taught people to trust and serve God faithfully. Jesus shows that it is impossible to serve two masters!
In that sense Jesus is calling us to serve one LORD, of course Jesus Christ. And by serving Jesus Christ, let us not be anxious about our needs. If we ask Him, we work hard and with knowledge, He will supply our needs.
To believe in Jesus and then live a life of sin is to serve two masters, because also when you sin you are worshiping the devil. Jesus calls us to choose to serve Him, our Savior, so that we may have a happy ending.
