Mathayo 11:20-24

Haki huinua taifa bali dhambi ni aibu ya watu wo wote;

Anamaanisha watu waliomo. Aliwapa ole wote wasioamini Injili, akisema hukumu yao inayokuja, ambayo  wasingeiepuka pasipo kutubu.

Yeyote asiyetubu miongoni mwetu anapewa "ole".  Familia isiyotubu inapewa "ole". Kanisa lisilotubu linapewa "ole". Taifa lisilotubu linapewa "ole" Yesu anatuita kutubu dhambi zetu, ili tuwe wenye haki ndipo tutaiepuka hukumu.

Tuepuke "ole" tuwe wa "Heri"

Siku njema.

MATHEW 11:20-24 (NIV)

Woe on Unrepentant Towns

20 Then Jesus began to denounce the towns in which most of his miracles had been performed, because they did not repent. 21 “Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. 22 But I tell you, it will be more bearable for Tyre and Sidon on the day of judgment than for you. 23 And you, Capernaum, will you be lifted to the heavens? No, you will go down to Hades.[a] For if the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Sodom, it would have remained to this day. 24 But I tell you that it will be more bearable for Sodom on the day of judgment than for you.”

Footnotes

  1. Matthew 11:23 That is, the realm of the dead

Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a a shame to any people.

Jesus gives woe to unrepentant cities. When Jesus mentions cities, he is not referring to cities simply as buildings and infrastructure. He means the people in it. He gave woe to all those who did not believe the Gospel, proclaiming their coming judgment, which they could not escape without repentance.

Whoever does not repent among us is given a "woe". An unrepentant family is given "woe". The unrepentant church is given "woe". An unrepentant nation is given "woe" Jesus calls us to repent of our sins, so that we may be righteous and then avoid judgment.

Let us avoid "woe" to be "Blessed"

Good day.
