MONDAY 5TH JULY 2021 MORNING ISAIAH 40:6-9
Isaiah 40:6-9 New International Version (NIV)
A voice says, “Cry out.”
And I said, “What shall I cry?”
“All people are like grass,
and all their faithfulness is like the flowers of the field.
7 The grass withers and the flowers fall,
because the breath of the Lord blows on them.
Surely the people are grass.
8 The grass withers and the flowers fall,
but the word of our God endures forever.”
9 You who bring good news to Zion,
go up on a high mountain.
You who bring good news to Jerusalem,[c]
lift up your voice with a shout,
lift it up, do not be afraid;
say to the towns of Judah,
“Here is your God!”
Like grass and flowers, humans wither and fade. They remind us that we are not permanent. The word of God is the constant on which we can totally depend; the word of God will stand forever. God gave his word to Abram and David and others in the form of a covenant that promised blessings to their descendants. This is a hopeful word for us. We, too, fail God, but God will not fail us.

6 Sikiliza, ni sauti ya mtu asemaye, Lia! Nikasema, Nilie nini? Wote wenye mwili ni majani, Na wema wake wote ni kama ua la kondeni;
7 Majani yakauka, ua lanyauka; Kwa sababu pumzi ya Bwana yapita juu yake. Yakini watu hawa ni majani.
8 Majani yakauka, ua lanyauka; Bali neno la Mungu wetu litasimama milele.
9 Wewe uuhubiriye Sayuni habari njema, Panda juu ya mlima mrefu; Wewe uuhubiriye Yerusalemu habari njema, Paza sauti kwa nguvu; Paza sauti yako, usiogope; Iambie miji ya Yuda, Tazameni, Mungu wenu.
Kama yalivyo majani na maua, wanadamu hukauka na kunyauka. Yanatukumbusha kuwa sisi siyo wa kudumu. Neno la Mungu halibadiliki, tutalitumaini nyakati zote. Neno la Mungu litadumu milele. Kwa neno lake, Mungu alifanya agano na Ibrahimu, Daudi pamoja na wengine kwamba angewabariki na vizazi vyao. Neno hili linatupa tumaini pia, kwamba, sisi pia tunamkosea Mungu, lakini Yeye hatatuacha kamwe.
