SATURDAY 27TH JUNE 2020 MORNING
Deuteronomy 29:2-9 New International Version (NIV)
2 Moses summoned all the Israelites and said to them:
Your eyes have seen all that the Lord did in Egypt to Pharaoh, to all his officials and to all his land. 3 With your own eyes you saw those great trials, those signs and great wonders. 4 But to this day the Lord has not given you a mind that understands or eyes that see or ears that hear. 5 Yet the Lord says, “During the forty years that I led you through the wilderness, your clothes did not wear out, nor did the sandals on your feet. 6 You ate no bread and drank no wine or other fermented drink. I did this so that you might know that I am the Lord your God.”
7 When you reached this place, Sihon king of Heshbon and Og king of Bashan came out to fight against us, but we defeated them. 8 We took their land and gave it as an inheritance to the Reubenites, the Gadites and the half-tribe of Manasseh.
9 Carefully follow the terms of this covenant, so that you may prosper in everything you do.
Today, some people think that faith is grounded on seeing more miraculous events. But seeing great wonders accomplishes nothing apart from the work of the Holy Spirit in someone's heart.
Knowing the greatness of God's love and power should make us more committed to Him.

KUMBUKUMBU LA TORATI 29:2-9
2 Musa akawaita Israeli wote akawaambia, Mmeyaona yote Bwana aliyomfanya Farao katika nchi ya Misri mbele ya macho yenu, yeye na watumwa wake wote, na nchi yake yote;
3 yale majaribu makuu yaliyoyaona macho yako; hizo ishara, na ile miujiza mikuu;
4 lakini Bwana hakuwapa moyo wa kujua, wala macho ya kuona, wala masikio ya kusikia, hata leo hivi.
5 Nami miaka arobaini nimewaongoza jangwani; nguo zenu hazikuchakaa juu yenu, wala kiatu chako hakikuchakaa katika mguu wako.
6 Hamkula mkate, wala hamkunywa divai, wala kileo; ili mpate kujua kwamba Mimi ndimi Bwana, Mungu wenu.
7 Nanyi mlipokuja mahali hapa, walitutokea kupigana juu yetu Sihoni mfalme wa Heshboni, na Ogu mfalme wa Bashani, tukawapiga;
8 tukaitwaa nchi yao, nayo tukawapa Wareubeni, na Wagadi, na nusu ya kabila ya Manase, iwe urithi.
9 Shikeni basi maneno ya agano hili myafanye, ili mfanikiwe katika yote mfanyayo.
