2 Timotheo 1:8-14
8 Basi usiuonee haya ushuhuda wa Bwana wetu, wala usinionee haya mimi mfungwa wake, bali uvumilie mabaya pamoja nami kwa ajili ya Injili, kwa kadiri ya nguvu ya Mungu;
9 ambaye alituokoa akatuita kwa mwito mtakatifu, si kwa kadiri ya matendo yetu sisi, bali kwa kadiri ya makusudi yake yeye na neema yake. Neema hiyo tulipewa katika Kristo Yesu tangu milele,
10 na sasa inadhihirishwa kwa kufunuliwa kwake Mwokozi wetu Kristo Yesu; aliyebatili mauti, na kuufunua uzima na kutokuharibika, kwa ile Injili;
11 ambayo kwa ajili ya hiyo naliwekwa niwe mhubiri na mtume na mwalimu.
12 Kwa sababu hiyo nimepatikana na mateso haya, wala sitahayari; kwa maana namjua yeye niliyemwamini, na kusadiki ya kwamba aweza kukilinda kile nilichokiweka amana kwake hata siku ile.
13 Shika kielelezo cha maneno yenye uzima uliyoyasikia kwangu, katika imani na upendo ulio katika Kristo Yesu.
14 Ilinde ile amana nzuri kwa Roho Mtakatifu akaaye ndani yetu.
Mtume Paulo anamwandikia Timotheo akimsihi kutoionea haya Injili. Anamhimiza kumshika na kumtangaza Yesu aliyetufia msalabani, akatupa wokovu kwa neema. Paulo anakazia kukaa katika neno la Mungu.
Ni muhimu kutambua neema ya Mungu kwetu, na kumtangaza ili wengine waokolewe kama sisi tulivyookolewa. Maisha yetu yatafsiri neema ya Mungu katika mwenendo, imani, ibada na uchaji. Shika neno la Mungu kudumu katika neema ya wokovu.

2 Timothy 1:8-14 (NIV)
8 So do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord or of me his prisoner. Rather, join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God. 9 He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time, 10 but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus, who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel. 11 And of this gospel I was appointed a herald and an apostle and a teacher. 12 That is why I am suffering as I am. Yet this is no cause for shame, because I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him until that day.
13 What you heard from me, keep as the pattern of sound teaching, with faith and love in Christ Jesus. 14 Guard the good deposit that was entrusted to you—guard it with the help of the Holy Spirit who lives in us.
The apostle Paul writes to Timothy, urging him not to be ashamed of the Gospel. He urges him to seize and proclaim Jesus who died for us on the cross, giving us salvation by grace. Paul emphasizes staying in the word of God.
It is important to recognize God's grace to us, and proclaim Him so that others may be saved as we are saved. Our lives will translate God's grace into conduct, faith, worship and reverence. Keep the word of God, abiding in the grace of salvation.
