Yohana 7:25-31
25 Basi baadhi ya watu wa Yerusalemu wakasema, Je! Huyu siye wanayemtafuta ili wamwue?
26 Na kumbe! Anena waziwazi, wala hawamwambii neno! Yamkini hao wakuu wanajua hakika ya kuwa huyu ndiye Kristo?
27 Lakini huyu twamjua atokako; bali Kristo atakapokuja hakuna ajuaye atokako.
28 Basi Yesu akapaza sauti yake hekaluni, akifundisha na kusema, Mimi mnanijua, na huko nitokako mnakujua; wala sikuja kwa nafsi yangu; ila yeye aliyenipeleka ni wa kweli, msiyemjua ninyi.
29 Mimi namjua, kwa kuwa nimetoka kwake, naye ndiye aliyenituma.
30 Basi wakatafuta kumkamata; lakini hakuna mtu aliyeunyosha mkono wake ili kumshika, kwa sababu saa yake ilikuwa haijaja bado.
31 Na watu wengi katika mkutano wakamwamini; wakasema, Atakapokuja Kristo, je! Atafanya ishara nyingi zaidi kuliko hizi alizozifanya huyu?
Kungojea ahadi ya Baba;
Yesu akiendelea na huduma yake, wapo waliochukia hadi kutaka kumkamata maana alitishia himaya yao. Lakini pia upo umati uliostaajabu uwezo wake! Mkazo wa leo asubuhi Yesu anautoa hapa;
Yohana 7:28; Basi Yesu akapaza sauti yake hekaluni, akifundisha na kusema, Mimi mnanijua, na huko nitokako mnakujua; wala sikuja kwa nafsi yangu; ila yeye aliyenipeleka ni wa kweli, msiyemjua ninyi.
Yesu anathibitisha ukuu wake, kuwa ametoka mbinguni. Ukisoma mstari wa 31, watu wengi walizidi kumwamini. Mahubiri na kazi zake vimefanya tumwamini? Kuna aliye na wasiwasi bado kuhusu Yesu Kristo? Yeye ndiye kweli, njia na uzima.

John 7:25-31 NIV
25 At that point some of the people of Jerusalem began to ask, “Isn’t this the man they are trying to kill?
26 Here he is, speaking publicly, and they are not saying a word to him. Have the authorities really concluded that he is the Messiah?
27 But we know where this man is from; when the Messiah comes, no one will know where he is from.”
28 Then Jesus, still teaching in the temple courts, cried out, “Yes, you know me, and you know where I am from. I am not here on my own authority, but he who sent me is true. You do not know him,
29 but I know him because I am from him and he sent me.”
30 At this they tried to seize him, but no one laid a hand on him, because his hour had not yet come.
31 Still, many in the crowd believed in him. They said, “When the Messiah comes, will he perform more signs than this man?”
Waiting for the Father's promise;
As Jesus continued his ministry, some hated him and wanted to arrest him because he threatened their empire. But there is also a crowd that marvels at his ability! This morning's emphasis Jesus gives here;
John 7:28 Then Jesus, still teaching in the temple courts, cried out, “Yes, you know me, and you know where I am from. I am not here on my own authority, but he who sent me is true. You do not know him,
Jesus proves His greatness that He came from heaven. As you read verse 31, many people came to believe in him. Have his sermons and works made us believe him? Does anyone still in doubt about Jesus Christ? He is the truth, the way and the life.
