9 Kwa sababu hiyo, Mungu alimwinua juu kabisa, akampa jina ambalo ni kuu kuliko majina yote; 10 ili kwa jina la Yesu, kila goti lipigwe, mbinguni na duniani na kuzimu; 11 na kila ulimi ukiri kwamba Yesu Kristo ni Bwana, kwa utukufu wa Mungu
Yesu Kristo ni Bwana
Mtume Paulo anawasihi Wafilipi kuwa na unyenyekevu kama wa Kristo, katika Kristo. Anawaambia kuwa Mungu alimkirimia Yesu jina hilo, ili kwa jina lake kila goti lipigwe, na kila ulimi ukiri kuwa Yesu ni Bwana.
Yesu aliingia Yerusalemu kwa kutumia Mwana Punda. Hakushindwa kutumia nyingine labda ambayo ingeonesha ukuu wake. Hata wakati anateswa alikuwa mnyenyekevu.
Unyenyekevu wa Yesu Kristo ni somo kwetu. Yesu ni mfano halisi wa unyenyekevu. Anapoingia mioyoni mwetu, anatuita kuwa wanyenyekevu, tukikiri Jina lake kuelekea uzimani.

Philippians 2:9-11, New International Version
9 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place
and gave him the name that is above every name,
10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11 and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.
Jesus Christ is the Lord
The apostle Paul urges the Philippians to have Christ like humility. He tells them that God gave Jesus that name, so that in Jesus’ name every knee will bow, and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord.
Jesus entered Jerusalem on the colt of an ass. He did not choose to use other means perhaps that would show his greatness. Even when persecuted, he was humble.
The humility of Jesus Christ is a lesson for us. Jesus set the perfect pattern of humility. When He enters our hearts, He calls us to be humble, confessing His Name to life.
