Romans 3:27-29

New International Version

27 Where, then, is boasting? It is excluded. Because of what law? The law that requires works? No, because of the law that requires faith. 28 For we maintain that a person is justified by faith apart from the works of the law. 29 Or is God the God of Jews only? Is he not the God of Gentiles too? Yes, of Gentiles too.

The Apostle Paul this morning reminds us that righteousness comes by faith. When we have Faith we are justified, not by works of law. God makes us righteous, as we trust and obey Him. This is a manifestation of His grace. Paul emphasizes that this right is universal, that is, he does not choose.

In that sense we are all called to abide in the Faith so that we may be justified. Let us have perfect faith, remembering that Faith without works is dead. So good deeds are what keep our faith alive. That is, if we do not have good works, our faith is dead, and we cannot be justified. This morning I urge you to keep on asking for the guidance of the Holy Spirit to help you persevere in doing good by faith, being justified in Christ, for the grace of God is sufficient.

I wish you a good day

Umuhimu Wa Kuwa Na Imani

27 Sasa kujivuna kwetu kuko wapi basi? Hakupo.
