Psalm 127
A song of ascents. Of Solomon.
1 Unless the Lord builds the house,
the builders labor in vain.
Unless the Lord watches over the city,
the guards stand watch in vain.
2 In vain you rise early
and stay up late,
toiling for food to eat—
for he grants sleep to[a] those he loves.
3 Children are a heritage from the Lord,
offspring a reward from him.
4 Like arrows in the hands of a warrior
are children born in one’s youth.
5 Blessed is the man
whose quiver is full of them.
They will not be put to shame
when they contend with their opponents in court.

Instructions for Christian Households
18 Wives, submit yourselves to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.
19 Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them.
20 Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord.
21 Fathers,[a] do not embitter your children, or they will become discouraged.
22 Slaves, obey your earthly masters in everything; and do it, not only when their eye is on you and to curry their favor, but with sincerity of heart and reverence for the Lord. 23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, 24 since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. 25 Anyone who does wrong will be repaid for their wrongs, and there is no favoritism.

23 When Jesus entered the synagogue leader’s house and saw the noisy crowd and people playing pipes, 24 he said, “Go away. The girl is not dead but asleep.” But they laughed at him. 25 After the crowd had been put outside, he went in and took the girl by the hand, and she got up.26 News of this spread through all that region.
When Jesus arrived at the home of the Synagogue leader He found a scene of grief and despair. Everyone was mourning the death of his daughter. This father took his responsibility and called on Jesus to help his family. Jesus responded and came to the home and raised the daughter back to life. Then the grief was turned to rejoicing.
We may have various problems in our families. Let us call upon Jesus in prayer. Let us ask Him to help us and bless us and bring harmony and joy to our homes.

1 Bwana asipoijenga nyumba Waijengao wafanya kazi bure. Bwana asipoulinda mji Yeye aulindaye akesha bure.
2 Kazi yenu ni bure, mnaoamka mapema, Na kukawia kwenda kulala, Na kula chakula cha taabu; Yeye humpa mpenzi wake usingizi.
3 Tazama, wana ndio urithi wa Bwana, Uzao wa tumbo ni thawabu.
4 Kama mishale mkononi mwa shujaa, Ndivyo walivyo wana wa ujanani.
5 Heri mtu yule Aliyelijaza podo lake hivyo. Naam, hawataona aibu Wanaposema na adui langoni.
Kolosae 3:18-25
18 Ninyi wake, watiini waume zenu, kama ipendezavyo katika Bwana.
19 Ninyi waume, wapendeni wake zenu msiwe na uchungu nao.
20 Ninyi watoto, watiini wazazi wenu katika mambo yote; maana jambo hili lapendeza katika Bwana.
21 Ninyi akina baba, msiwachokoze watoto wenu, wasije wakakata tamaa.
22 Ninyi watumwa, watiini hao ambao kwa mwili ni bwana zenu, katika mambo yote, si kwa utumwa wa macho, kama wajipendekezao kwa wanadamu, bali kwa unyofu wa moyo, mkimcha Bwana.
23 Lo lote mfanyalo, lifanyeni kwa moyo, kama kwa Bwana, wala si kwa wanadamu,
24 mkijua ya kuwa mtapokea kwa Bwana ujira wa urithi. Mnamtumikia Bwana Kristo.
25 Maana adhulumuye atapata mapato ya udhalimu wake, wala hakuna upendeleo.
Mathayo 9:23-26
23 Yesu alipofika nyumbani kwa yule jumbe, aliona wapiga filimbi, na makutano wakifanya maombolezo,
24 akawaambia, Ondokeni; kwa maana kijana hakufa, amelala tu. Wakamcheka sana.
25 Lakini makutano walipoondoshwa, aliingia, akamshika mkono; yule kijana akasimama.
26 Zikaenea habari hizi katika nchi ile yote.
Yesu alipofika nyumbani kwa jumbe, alikuta familia na watu wote wanaomboleza. Kulikuwa na huzuni kwa sababu binti wa Jumbe alikuwa amefariki. Baba yake alichukua jukumu la kumwita Yesu. Yesu alikuja nyumbani na alimfufua binti Yule. Huzuni ya familia ilibadikika gafla kuwa furaha kubwa.
Labda sisi tunashida mbalimbali katika familia zetu. Tumwite Yesu kwa njia ya maombi. Yesu atasikia na kujibu na kutubariki.
