TUESDAY 14TH AUGUST 2018 MORNING
Psalm 106:40-47 New International Version (NIV)
40 Therefore the Lord was angry with his people
and abhorred his inheritance.
41 He gave them into the hands of the nations,
and their foes ruled over them.
42 Their enemies oppressed them
and subjected them to their power.
43 Many times he delivered them,
but they were bent on rebellion
and they wasted away in their sin.
44 Yet he took note of their distress
when he heard their cry;
45 for their sake he remembered his covenant
and out of his great love he relented.
46 He caused all who held them captive
to show them mercy.
47 Save us, Lord our God,
and gather us from the nations,
that we may give thanks to your holy name
and glory in your praise.
When the people of Israel rebelled against God He punished them. They were taken into captivity by enemy nations. However when the people turned back to God and repented their sins God showed His love and mercy to them and He restored them to their home land.
Let us be faithful and obedient to God. This will be a blessing to us.

40 Hasira ya Bwana ikawaka juu ya watu wake, Akauchukia urithi wake.
41 Akawatia mikononi mwa mataifa, Nao waliowachukia wakawatawala.
42 Adui zao wakawaonea, Wakatiishwa chini ya mkono wao.
43 Mara nyingi aliwaponya, Bali walikuwa wakimwasi kwa mashauri yao, Wakadhilika katika uovu wao.
44 Lakini aliyaangalia mateso yao, Aliposikia kilio chao.
45 Akawakumbukia agano lake; Akawahurumia kwa wingi wa fadhili zake;
46 Akawajalia kuhurumiwa Na watu wote waliowateka.
47 Ee Bwana, Mungu wetu, utuokoe, Utukusanye kwa kututoa katika mataifa, Tulishukuru jina lako takatifu, Tuzifanyie shangwe sifa zako.
Wakati Wanaisraeli walimwaasi Mungu aliwaadibu. Mungu aliruhusu taifa adui kuwateka Waisraeli.
Lakini baadaye walitubu na kumrejea Bwana. Mungu aliwahurumia na kuwarudisha katika nchi yao na kuwabariki.
Kuna faida kubwa kumtii na kuheshimu Mungu.
