John 18:15-24 New International Version (NIV)
Peter’s First Denial
15 Simon Peter and another disciple were following Jesus. Because this disciple was known to the high priest, he went with Jesus into the high priest’s courtyard, 16 but Peter had to wait outside at the door. The other disciple, who was known to the high priest, came back, spoke to the servant girl on duty there and brought Peter in.
17 “You aren’t one of this man’s disciples too, are you?” she asked Peter.
He replied, “I am not.”
18 It was cold, and the servants and officials stood around a fire they had made to keep warm. Peter also was standing with them, warming himself.
The High Priest Questions Jesus
19 Meanwhile, the high priest questioned Jesus about his disciples and his teaching.
20 “I have spoken openly to the world,” Jesus replied. “I always taught in synagogues or at the temple, where all the Jews come together. I said nothing in secret. 21 Why question me? Ask those who heard me. Surely they know what I said.”
22 When Jesus said this, one of the officials nearby slapped him in the face. “Is this the way you answer the high priest?” he demanded.
23 “If I said something wrong,” Jesus replied, “testify as to what is wrong. But if I spoke the truth, why did you strike me?” 24 Then Annas sent him bound to Caiaphas the high priest.
Jesus taught crowds of people who followed Him on many occasions. He also had special times with His Apostles to give them extra teaching. We can read many of Jesus’s teachings recorded in the Gospels. Jesus still speaks to us today through The Bible. Let us listen to Him and obey His teachings.

YOHANA 18:15-24
15 Wakamfuata Yesu, Petro na mwanafunzi mwingine. Na mwanafunzi huyo alikuwa amejulikana na Kuhani Mkuu, akaingia pamoja na Yesu katika behewa ya Kuhani Mkuu.
16 Lakini Petro akasimama nje mlangoni. Basi yule mwanafunzi mwingine aliyejulikana na Kuhani Mkuu akatoka, akasema na mngoja mlango, akamleta Petro ndani.
17 Basi yule kijakazi, aliyekuwa mngoja mlango, akamwambia Petro, Wewe nawe, je! Hu mwanafunzi mmojawapo wa mtu huyu? Naye akasema, Si mimi.
18 Na wale watumwa na watumishi walikuwa wakisimama, wamefanya moto wa makaa; maana ilikuwa baridi; wakawa wakikota moto. Petro naye alikuwapo pamoja nao, anakota moto.
19 Basi Kuhani Mkuu akamwuliza Yesu habari za wanafunzi wake, na habari za mafundisho yake.
20 Yesu akamjibu, Mimi nimesema na ulimwengu waziwazi; sikuzote nalifundisha katika sinagogi na katika hekalu, wakusanyikapo Wayahudi wote; wala kwa siri mimi sikusema neno lo lote.
21 Ya nini kuniuliza mimi? Waulize wale waliosikia ni nini niliyowaambia; wao wanajua niliyoyanena.
22 Basi aliposema hayo, mtumishi mmojawapo aliyesimama karibu alimpiga Yesu kofi akisema, Wamjibu hivi Kuhani Mkuu?
23 Yesu akamjibu, Kama nimesema vibaya, ushuhudie ule ubaya; bali kama nimesema vema, wanipigia nini?
24 Basi Anasi akampeleka hali amefungwa kwa Kayafa, Kuhani Mkuu.
Yesu alifundisha umati wa watu mara kwa mara kwa uwazi. Pia alipata nafasi ya faragha na Mitume kuwafundisha zaidi.
Mafundisho mengi ya Yesu tunawezakusoma katika Injili zote 4 kwenye Biblia. Tusome na tutafakari maneno ya Yesu Kristo ili tujengwe kiroho.
