WHEN GOD GIVES YOU A NEW SONG: HE IS DEFENDING HIS NAME
PSALM 106:7-9
When our ancestors were in Egypt,
they gave no thought to your miracles;
they did not remember your many kindnesses,
and they rebelled by the sea, the Red Sea.[a]
8 Yet he saved them for his name’s sake,
to make his mighty power known.
9 He rebuked the Red Sea, and it dried up;
he led them through the depths as through a desert.

The Bible declares that our God is a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). That means, He is ever present or always ready to help in the time of trouble. God reaches out to help a man for the sake of His name. If you genuinely belong to God, He will help you because you bear His name and are called by His name in this world (Acts 15:17). No wonder Psalm 106:8 says,
" Nevertheless he saved them for His name's sake, that He might make His might power to be known"
That means His intervention goes beyond your asking. He will intervene to defend His name and to show His power. He will defend His name, because you bear it, and He will not put you to shame. He will demonstrate His power just to give you the last laugh, and a new song to your lips, in Jesus name.

ZABURI 106:7-9
7 Baba zetu katika Misri Hawakufikiri matendo yako ya ajabu; Hawakukumbuka wingi wa fadhili zako; Wakaasi penye bahari, bahari ya Shamu.
8 Lakini akawaokoa kwa ajili ya jina lake, Ayadhihirishe matendo yake makuu.
9 Akaikemea bahari ya Shamu ikakauka, Akawaongoza vilindini kana kwamba ni uwanda.
Biblia ninayosoma inaniambia kuwa Mungu wetu ni msaada unaoonekana tele wakati wa mateso (Zab 46:1). Maana yake ni kwamba yuko tayari wakati wote kukusaidia. Kuna sababu nyingi kwa nini Mungu amsaidie mtu. Mungu hunyoosha mkono wake kumsaidia mtu kwa ajili ya Jina lake. Ukiwa wewe ni mtu wake, ambaye umetoa maisha yako kwa Yesu, atakusaidia kwa kuwa umelibeba jina lake, na unaitwa kwa Jina lake katika ulimwengu huu (Mdo 15:7). Hivyo si ajabu kusoma katika Zaburi ya 106:8 kuwa,
"Lakini akawokoa kwa ajili ya Jina lake, Ayadhihirishe matendo yake makuu"
Yaani, ili kukusaidia, kwa kuwa una Jina lake, hasubiri useme ili akusaidie! Ataingilia kati kulitetea Jina lake na kuonesha ukuu wake. Atalitetea jina lake kwa kuwa umelibeba, wala hatakutia haya wala kukuabisha. Ataonesha ukuu wake ili mradi akupe kicheko cha ushindi na wimbo moyoni mwako.
