Acts 10:44-48 New International Version (NIV)
44 While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit came on all who heard the message. 45 The circumcised believers who had come with Peter were astonished that the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out even on Gentiles. 46 For they heard them speaking in tongues[a] and praising God.
Then Peter said, 47 “Surely no one can stand in the way of their being baptized with water. They have received the Holy Spirit just as we have.” 48 So he ordered that they be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked Peter to stay with them for a few days.

The Apostle Peter was speaking at the home of Cornelius to a group of Gentiles. When Peter preached the Gospel the people believed and God confirmed their faith by giving them the Holy Spirit so that they started to speak in tongues. This sign helped Peter to realize that the message of the Gospel is not just for Jews but for all people. Peter then understood that it would be right to baptize these new believers with water, giving them Christian baptism.
Thank God that the message of the Gospel is for all people and that you have been privileged to believe and to be baptized.

MATENDO 10:44-48
44 Petro alipokuwa akisema maneno hayo Roho Mtakatifu akawashukia wote waliolisikia lile neno.
45 Na wale waliotahiriwa, walioamini, wakashangaa, watu wote waliokuja pamoja na Petro, kwa sababu Mataifa nao wamemwagiwa kipawa cha Roho Mtakatifu.
46 Kwa maana waliwasikia wakisema kwa lugha, na kumwadhimisha Mungu. Ndipo Petro akajibu,
47 Ni nani awezaye kuzuia maji, hawa wasibatizwe, watu waliopokea Roho Mtakatifu vile vile kama sisi?
48 Akaamuru wabatizwe kwa Jina lake Yesu Kristo. Ndipo wakamsihi azidi kukaa siku kadha wa kadha.
Mtume Petro alikuwa katika nyumba wa Kornelio. Petro alikuwa akihubiri Injili kwa kundi la watu wa Mataifa. Wasikilizaji wake waliamini na Mungu alithibitisha imani yao kwa kuwapa Roho Mtakatifu na walianza kunena kwa lugha. Kwa alama hii Petro alielewa kwamba Mungu hana upendeleo; na Injili si kwa ajili Wayahudi tu, bali kwa watu wote. Petro pia alielewa kwamba ni vema kuwabatiza hawa waumini wapya kwa maji, yaani kuwapa ubatizo wa Kikristo.
Mshukuru Mungu kwa sababu Injili imekufikia wewe na umepewa nema kupata Ubatizo wa Kikristo.
