Luke 17:22-26 New International Version (NIV)
22 Then he said to his disciples, “The time is coming when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of Man, but you will not see it.23 People will tell you, ‘There he is!’ or ‘Here he is!’ Do not go running off after them. 24 For the Son of Man in his day[a] will be like the lightning, which flashes and lights up the sky from one end to the other. 25 But first he must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation.
26 “Just as it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the Son of Man.

In these verses from the Matthew’s Gospel we hear Jesus teaching His disciples. He wants them to understand about His second coming. He wants them to be prepared and we need to be prepared too. We should not be deceived if we hear reports of His coming. When Jesus does come back to earth in glory we will all see Him and everyone will see Him and understand that it is indeed Jesus Christ the Lord.

22 Akawaambia wanafunzi, Siku zitakuja mtakapotamani kuona siku moja katika siku zake Mwana wa Adamu, msiione.
23 Tena watawaambia, Tazama, kule! Tazama, huku! Msiondoke mahali mlipo, wala msiwafuate;
24 kwa kuwa, kama vile umeme umulikavyo toka upande huu chini ya mbingu hata upande huu chini ya mbingu, ndivyo atakavyokuwa Mwana wa Adamu katika siku yake.
25 Lakini kwanza, hana budi kupata mateso mengi, na kukataliwa na kizazi hiki.
26 Na kama ilivyokuwa siku za Nuhu, ndivyo itakavyokuwa katika siku zake Mwana wa Adamu.
Katika maneno haya kutoka Injili ya Mathayo Yesu anafundisha wanafunzi wake. Yesu alitaka waelewe kuhusu ujio wake wa pili kwa utukufu. Sisi pia tujifunze na tujiandae. Tusidanganywe na taarifa za watu ambao watasema wamemwona. Yesu akirudi kwa utukufu kila mtu atamwona na wataelewa kwamba ni Yeye, Yesu Kristo mwana wa Mungu. Basi tujiandae. Tukae tayari kumpokea Bwana Yesu akirudi kwa utukufu.
