19 The Lord has established his throne in heaven,
and his kingdom rules over all.

21 Praise the Lord, all his heavenly hosts,
you his servants who do his will.

everywhere in his dominion.

Jesus Comforts His Disciples
14 “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God[a]; believe also in me. 2 My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. 4 You know the way to the place where I am going.”

5 Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?”
6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

A New Heaven and a New Earth
21 Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,”[a] for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea.2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’[b] or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
5 He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!”Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”

Today is the last Sunday in the church year. Next Sunday the First Sunday in Advent we begin a New Church year.
At the end of the church year we always think about the end of the world and the life to come. Today we are thinking about Eternal Life in Heaven. Do you truly desire to go to heaven to live with God forever? If so you need to prepare yourself now one earth. Live a life which is pleasing to God? Are you learning to worship God in spirit and in truth?

19 Bwana ameweka kiti chake cha enzi mbinguni, Na ufalme wake unavitawala vitu vyote.
20 Mhimidini Bwana, enyi malaika zake, Ninyi mlio hodari, mtendao neno lake, Mkiisikiliza sauti ya neno lake.
21 Mhimidini Bwana, enyi majeshi yake yote, Ninyi watumishi wake mfanyao mapenzi yake.
22 Mhimidini Bwana, enyi matendo yake yote, Mahali pote pa milki yake. Ee nafsi yangu, umhimidi Bwana.
Yohana 14:1-6
1 Msifadhaike mioyoni mwenu; mnamwamini Mungu, niaminini na mimi.
2 Nyumbani mwa Baba yangu mna makao mengi; kama sivyo, ningaliwaambia; maana naenda kuwaandalia mahali.
3 Basi mimi nikienda na kuwaandalia mahali, nitakuja tena niwakaribishe kwangu; ili nilipo mimi, nanyi mwepo.
4 Nami niendako mwaijua njia.
5 Tomaso akamwambia, Bwana, sisi hatujui uendako; nasi twaijuaje njia?
6 Yesu akamwambia, Mimi ndimi njia, na kweli, na uzima; mtu haji kwa Baba, ila kwa njia ya mimi.
Ufunuo 21:1-5
1 Kisha nikaona mbingu mpya na nchi mpya; kwa maana mbingu za kwanza na nchi ya kwanza zimekwisha kupita, wala hapana bahari tena.
2 Nami nikauona mji ule mtakatifu, Yerusalemu mpya, ukishuka kutoka mbinguni kwa Mungu, umewekwa tayari, kama bibi-arusi aliyekwisha kupambwa kwa mumewe.
3 Nikasikia sauti kubwa kutoka katika kile kiti cha enzi ikisema, Tazama, maskani ya Mungu ni pamoja na wanadamu, naye atafanya maskani yake pamoja nao, nao watakuwa watu wake. Naye Mungu mwenyewe atakuwa pamoja nao.
4 Naye atafuta kila chozi katika macho yao, wala mauti haitakuwapo tena; wala maombolezo, wala kilio, wala maumivu hayatakuwapo tena; kwa kuwa mambo ya kwanza yamekwisha kupita.
5 Na yeye aketiye juu ya kile kiti cha enzi akasema, Tazama, nayafanya yote kuwa mapya. Akaniambia, Andika ya kwamba maneno hayo ni amini na kweli.
Leo ni Jumapili ya mwisho mwa mwaka wa Kanisa. Wiki ijayo tunaanza Majilio na mwaka mpya wa kanisa.
Kila mwisho mwa mwaka tunajifunza kuhusu mwisho wa dunia na maisha ya milele.
Je! Unatamani kwenda mbinguni? Unajiandaa kumsifu Mungu Mbinguni? Tafuta kuwa karibu na Mungu hapa duniani na uishi maisha matakatifu ukijiandae kwa maisha ya milele.
