6 Nitie kama muhuri moyoni mwako, Kama muhuri juu ya mkono wako; Kwa maana upendo una nguvu kama mauti, Na wivu ni mkali kama ahera. Mwako wake ni mwako wa moto, Na miali yake ni miali ya Yahu.
7 Maji mengi hayawezi kuuzimisha upendo, Wala mito haiwezi kuuzamisha; Kama mtu angetoa badala ya upendo Mali yote ya nyumbani mwake, Angedharauliwa kabisa.
8 Kwetu sisi tuna umbu mdogo, Wala hana maziwa; Tumfanyieje umbu letu, Siku atakapoposwa?
Somo letu hapo juu ni sehemu ya wimbo wa Mfalme Suleiman. Katika Mstari wa 6 hadi wa 7, anajaribu kuelezea jinsi upendo ulivyo na nguvu ya kusimama imara. Hautikisiki na nguvu za dhoruba yoyote, na haubadilishwi na kitu chochote.
Huu ndio upendo alionao Yesu Kristo kwetu sisi binadamu. Je, umeupokea upendo huo?
TUESDAY 13TH JULAI 2021, MORNING
6 Place me like a seal over your heart,
like a seal on your arm;
for love is as strong as death,
its jealousy[a] unyielding as the grave.
It burns like blazing fire,
like a mighty flame.[b]
7 Many waters cannot quench love;
rivers cannot sweep it away.
If one were to give
all the wealth of one’s house for love,
it[c] would be utterly scorned.
8 We have a little sister,
and her breasts are not yet grown.
What shall we do for our sister
on the day she is spoken for?
Our lesson above is part of King Solomon's song. In verses 6 through 7, he tries to explain how love has the power to stand firm. It is not shaken by the force of any storm, and cannot be altered or exchanged by anything.
This is the love that Jesus Christ has for us humans. Have you received that love?
