WEDNESDAY 12TH MAY 2021 MORNING
2Chronicles 7:11-14 New International Version (NIV)
11 When Solomon had finished the temple of the Lord and the royal palace, and had succeeded in carrying out all he had in mind to do in the temple of the Lord and in his own palace, 12 the Lord appeared to him at night and said:
“I have heard your prayer and have chosen this place for myself as a temple for sacrifices.
13 “When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people, 14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
God is the source of revival and life. Unless we can identify our sins, acknowledge them and take full responsibility through confession, then we have no hope. We cannot change this world by political reformation and improved education services. We must humble ourselves and pray, and seek God’s face and turn from our wicked ways.

11 Hivyo Sulemani akaimaliza nyumba ya Bwana, na nyumba ya mfalme; na yote yaliyomwingia Sulemani moyoni ayafanye nyumbani mwa Bwana, na nyumbani mwake mwenyewe, akayafanikisha.
12 Bwana akamtokea Sulemani usiku, akamwambia, Nimesikia uliyoyaomba, na mahali hapa nimejichagulia kuwa nyumba ya dhabihu.
13 Nikizifunga mbingu isiwe mvua, tena nikiamuru nzige kula nchi, au nikiwapelekea watu wangu tauni;
14 ikiwa watu wangu, walioitwa kwa jina langu, watajinyenyekesha, na kuomba, na kunitafuta uso, na kuziacha njia zao mbaya; basi, nitasikia toka mbinguni, na kuwasamehe dhambi yao, na kuiponya nchi yao.
Mungu ndiye asili ya uamsho na uhai wetu. Pasipo kuzitambua dhambi zetu, kukubali na kuwajibika kwa njia ya toba, hatuwezi kuwa na tumaini. Hatuwezi kubadilisha ulimwengu huu kupitia mageuzi ya kisiasa na kuboresha mfumo wa elimu. Tunachohitaji ni kujinyenyekeza, kuomba, na kuutafuta uso wa Mungu na kuziacha njia zetu mbaya.
