IJUMAA TAREHE 7 MEI 2021, ASUBUHI
WAAMUZI 7:15-18
15 Ikawa, aliposikia habari ya ile ndoto, na kufasiriwa kwake, akasujudu; akarudi katika jeshi la Israeli akasema, Inukeni, kwa maana Bwana amelitia jeshi la Midiani mikononi mwenu.
16 Kisha akawapanga wale watu mia tatu wawe vikosi vitatu, akatia tarumbeta katika mikono ya watu wote, na mitungi isiyo maji, na mienge ndani ya hiyo mitungi.
17 Akawaambia, Nitazameni, mkafanye kama nifanyavyo mimi; angalieni, nitakapofika mwisho wa kambi, itakuwa, nifanyavyo mimi nanyi fanyeni kadhalika.
18 Nitakapopiga tarumbeta, mimi na wote walio pamoja nami, basi ninyi nanyi zipigeni tarumbeta pande zote za kambi, mkaseme, Kwa Bwana, na kwa Gideoni.
Neno la leo ni sehemu ya hadithi ya jinsi Gideoni alivyoongoza jeshi dogo la Waisraeli, alishinda jeshi kubwa la Wamediani kwa msaada wa Bwana. Mungu alimpa Gideoni maagizo mahususi ya kufuata ili kukabiliana na hali inayoonekana kama hali isiyowezekana. Tunaweza kushinda vikwazo vyetu maishani ikiwa tutamwalika Mungu atuongoze.
FRIDAY 7TH MAY 2021, MORNING
JUDGES 7:15-18
15 When Gideon heard the dream and its interpretation, he bowed down and worshiped. He returned to the camp of Israel and called out, “Get up! The Lord has given the Midianite camp into your hands.” 16 Dividing the three hundred men into three companies, he placed trumpets and empty jars in the hands of all of them, with torches inside.
17 “Watch me,” he told them. “Follow my lead. When I get to the edge of the camp, do exactly as I do. 18 When I and all who are with me blow our trumpets, then from all around the camp blow yours and shout, ‘For the Lord and for Gideon.’”
The reading today is part of the story of how Gideon leading a small Israelites army, defeated the huge Medianite’s army by the help of the Lord. God gave Gideon specific instructions to follow to counter what looked like an impossible situation. We can overcome our hurdles in life if we invite God to lead us.
