Amos 1:6-8 New International Version (NIV)
6 This is what the Lord says:
“For three sins of Gaza,
even for four, I will not relent.
Because she took captive whole communities
and sold them to Edom,
7 I will send fire on the walls of Gaza
that will consume her fortresses.
8 I will destroy the king[d] of Ashdod
and the one who holds the scepter in Ashkelon.
I will turn my hand against Ekron,
till the last of the Philistines are dead,”
says the Sovereign Lord.
God has called Christians not only to be in relationship with Him but also to be in relationships with others. For those Christians whose tendency has been to focus more on the invisible God than on His visible creation, the book of Amos teaches us that both prayer and service are essential.
JUMATATU TAREHE 18 NOVEMBA 2019 ASUBUHI
AMOSI 1:6-8
6 Haya ndiyo asemayo Bwana; Kwa makosa matatu ya Gaza, naam, kwa manne, sitaizuia adhabu yake isimpate; kwa sababu waliichukua katika hali ya kufungwa kabila nzima, wawatie katika mikono ya Edomu;
