THURSDAY 13th OCTOBER 2016 MORNING
Matthew 12:38-42
The Sign of Jonah
38 Then some of the Pharisees and teachers of the law said to him, “Teacher, we want to see a sign from you.”
39 He answered, “A wicked and adulterous generation asks for a sign! But none will be given it except the sign of the prophet Jonah. 40 For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of a huge fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.41 The men of Nineveh will stand up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and now something greater than Jonah is here. 42 The Queen of the South will rise at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for she came from the ends of the earth to listen to Solomon’s wisdom, and now something greater than Solomon is here.
Notice what Jesus says in verse 39! Many people in this generation are seeking for miracles. We should rather seek Jesus Christ Himself. You may have many problems in your life and it is possible that Jesus may remove some of them in a supernatural way perhaps by a miraculous healing. But He might not do so. Trust Him anyway. Accept Him as your Lord and savior and keep following Him faithfully.

MATHAYO 12:38-42
38 Hapo baadhi ya waandishi na Mafarisayo wakamjibu, wakasema, Mwalimu, twataka kuona ishara kwako.
39 Akajibu, akawaambia, Kizazi kibaya na cha zinaa chatafuta ishara, wala hakitapewa ishara, ila ishara ya nabii Yona.
40 Kwani kama vile Yona alivyokuwa siku tatu mchana na usiku katika tumbo la nyangumi, hivyo ndivyo Mwana wa Adamu atakavyokuwa siku tatu mchana na usiku katika moyo wa nchi.
41 Watu wa Ninawi watasimama siku ya hukumu pamoja na watu wa kizazi hiki, nao watawahukumu kuwa wamekosa; kwa sababu wao walitubu kwa mahubiri ya Yona; na hapa yupo aliye mkuu kuliko Yona.
42 Malkia wa kusini atasimama siku ya hukumu pamoja na watu wa kizazi hiki, naye atawahukumu kuwa wamekosa; kwa sababu yeye alikuja kutoka pande za mwisho za dunia ili asikie hekima ya Sulemani, na hapa yupo aliye mkuu kuliko Sulemani.
Tazama maneno wa Yesu Kristo katika mstari wa 39! Watu wengi hata leo wanatafuta miujiza. Bora tumtafute Yesu Kristo mwenyewe. Labda una shida nyingi katika maisha yako. Inawezekana kwamba Yesu akaondoa baadhi ya matatizo yako kwa muujiza, kwa mfano uponyaji. Lakini labda haitakutokea. Mwamini Yesu tu hata kama hajakutendea mujiza. Mkubali Yesu Kristo kama Bwana na Mwokozi wa maisha yako na umfuate kwa bidii siku zote za maisha yako.
