Uchaguzi wa busara;

Sasa nakuomba utafakari;

Siku njema.

ACTS 1:21-26 (NIV)

21 Therefore it is necessary to choose one of the men who have been with us the whole time the Lord Jesus was living among us, 22 beginning from John’s baptism to the time when Jesus was taken up from us. For one of these must become a witness with us of his resurrection.”

23 So they nominated two men: Joseph called Barsabbas (also known as Justus) and Matthias. 24 Then they prayed, “Lord, you know everyone’s heart. Show us which of these two you have chosen 25 to take over this apostolic ministry, which Judas left to go where he belongs.” 26 Then they cast lots, and the lot fell to Matthias; so he was added to the eleven apostles.

Wise choices;

After Jesus' ascension, Peter was with his fellow Apostles, and with them, about a hundred and twenty, fifteen of them, sitting in worship and prayer. Peter led his companions to ask God to guide them in choosing an Apostle to replace Judas. Under God's direction, they appointed Matthias to take the lead (verse 26).

We see the apostles and their companions praying to God before making the choice of Matthias. The apostles teach us to pray to God before making any decision, so that the decision will be more effective. In that sense, any decision that God did not make is invalid!

Now I ask you to meditate;

Are your decisions valid, or invalid? That is, do you decide to put God first or your mind? I urge you to do all things for God, and that is the wise choice, that is, to be led by the Lord, in the life of every believer.

Good day.
