Maombolezo 5:19-22

Kutubu na kurejea kwa Bwana;

19 Wewe, Bwana, unadumu milele; Kiti chako cha enzi ni tangu kizazi hata kizazi.
20 Mbona watusahau sikuzote; Na kutuacha muda huu mwingi?
21 Ee Bwana, utugeuze kwako, nasi tutageuka; Zifanye mpya siku zetu kama siku za kale.
22 Isipokuwa wewe umetukataa kabisa; Nawe una hasira nyingi sana juu yetu.

Muombolezaji anamsifu Mungu kuwa ndiye mfalme adumuye milele, aliyejaa fadhili. Anamsihi Mungu asimuache.

Bwana akubariki

Lamentations 5:19-22 New International Version

Repenting and returning to God.

19 You, Lord, reign forever;
    your throne endures from generation to generation.
20 Why do you always forget us?
    Why do you forsake us so long?
21 Restore us to yourself, Lord, that we may return;
    renew our days as of old
22 unless you have utterly rejected us
    and are angry with us beyond measure.

The writer of the book of Lamentations praises God as the everlasting King, full of kindness. He begs God not to leave him. The writer asks God to help him turn around, not to be angry at him.

Let us call on the Lord to be with us. Repent of our sins and live a life of testimony, asking God not to fail us. Let us do good deeds, so that he will not be angry with us.

The Lord bless you.
