JUMANNE TAREHE 30 MACHI 2021, ASUBUHI
Luka 22:7-13 Neno: Bibilia Takatifu
12 Atawaonyesha chumba kikubwa ghorofani ambacho kina fanicha zote. Fanyeni maandalizi humo.”
13 Wakaenda wakakuta kila kitu kama Yesu alivyokuwa amewaambia. Kwa hiyo wakaandaa chakula cha Pasaka.
Yesu anaingia Yerusalemu kwa shangwe;
Yesu anawatuma Petro na Yohana kwenda kumuandalia Pasaka. Wanaenda hadi kwenye nyumba aliyowaelekeza, wanafanya vile vile alivyowaambia, yaani kuandaa sehemu ya kulia Pasaka.
Baadae anaketi nao chakulani akiadhimisha karamu Takatifu.
Yesu Yesu aliwaandaa wanafunzi kuila Pasaka. Sisi tumejiandaaje kusherehekea Pasaka? Tunapojiandaa kukumbuka jinsi tulivyokombolewa, tutafakari njia zetu, ili kwa kifo chake tupate uzima wa milele.
Siku njema.

Luke 22:7-13, New International Version
The Last Supper
7 Then came the day of Unleavened Bread on which the Passover lamb had to be sacrificed. 8 Jesus sent Peter and John, saying, “Go and make preparations for us to eat the Passover.”
9 “Where do you want us to prepare for it?” they asked.
10 He replied, “As you enter the city, a man carrying a jar of water will meet you. Follow him to the house that he enters, 11 and say to the owner of the house, ‘The Teacher asks: Where is the guest room, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?’ 12 He will show you a large room upstairs, all furnished. Make preparations there.”
13 They left and found things just as Jesus had told them. So they prepared the Passover.
Jesus enters Jerusalem with joy;
Jesus sends Peter and John to prepare the Passover meal for him. They go to the house that he has directed to them, and they do exactly as he has told them, namely, to prepare the place for the Passover.
Later he sits down to eat with them, celebrating the Lord's Supper. This preparation was to remind students that the Passover was approaching, so prepare to celebrate.
The Passover of that time celebrated the deliverance from bondage. Today's Passover we remember how Jesus redeemed us through death on the cross. We remember Jesus being the Passover lamb.
Jesus prepared the disciples for the Passover meal. How are we prepared to celebrate Easter? As we prepare to remember how we have been redeemed, we will reflect on our ways, so that by his death we may have eternal life.
Good day.
