Luka 18:1-6
1 Akawaambia mfano, ya kwamba imewapasa kumwomba Mungu sikuzote, wala wasikate tamaa.
2 Akasema, Palikuwa na kadhi katika mji fulani, hamchi Mungu, wala hajali watu.
3 Na katika mji huo palikuwa na mwanamke mjane, aliyekuwa akimwendea-endea, akisema, Nipatie haki na adui wangu.
4 Naye kwa muda alikataa; halafu akasema moyoni mwake, Ijapokuwa simchi Mungu wala sijali watu,
5 lakini, kwa kuwa mjane huyu ananiudhi, nitampatia haki yake, asije akanichosha kwa kunijia daima.
6 Bwana akasema, Sikilizeni asemavyo yule kadhi dhalimu.
Kungojea ahadi ya Baba;
Tunasoma habari ya mjane aliyeenda kwa hakimu aliyekuwa hajali watu kudai haki zao. Ilifikia hakimu kujisemea moyoni mwake kuwa ingawa alikuwa hamchi Mungu, ampe mjane haki yake ili asiendelee kumsumbua.
Kwanza, Mungu wetu amejaa huruma na neema. Yeye siyo kama yule hakimu. Hivyo husikia na kupokea sala zetu pale tuombapo kwa Imani.
Pili; mjane huyu anatufundisha kuomba wakati wote, yaani kudumu katika maisha ya sala. Pamoja na kuikosa haki yake, hakuacha kwenda mbele ya hakimu. Vivyo hivyo, tusichoke wala kuacha kumuomba Bwana kama Mtume Paulo alivyowahi kuandika;
1 Wathesalonike 5:17 Ombeni bila kukoma
Ahadi ya Mungu ni kuwa nasi katika nyakati zote. Wajibu wetu ni kudumu katika Imani ya kweli, kwa toba na sala, tukikumbuka kuwa Imani bila matendo imekufa. Siku njema.

Luke 18:1-6 [NIV]
The Parable of the Persistent Widow
1 Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. 2 He said: “In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor cared what people thought. 3 And there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, ‘Grant me justice against my adversary.’
4 “For some time he refused. But finally he said to himself, ‘Even though I don’t fear God or care what people think, 5 yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won’t eventually come and attack me!’”
6 And the Lord said, “Listen to what the unjust judge says.
Waiting for the Father's promise;
We read about a widow who went to a judge who did not care about the people. The judge decided in his heart that although he was ungodly, he should give the widow her due so that she would not continue to harass him.
Our God is full of mercy and grace. He is not like the judge. He hears and answers our prayers when we pray in faith.
Secondly, the widow teaches us to pray all the time, that is, to persevere in a life of prayer. Despite of not getting her right, she did not stop going before the judge. Likewise, let us not grow weary and stop praying to the Lord as the Apostle Paul once wrote, 1 Thessalonians 5:17 Pray without ceasing
God's promise is to be with us at all times. Our responsibility is to abide in the true Faith, through repentance and prayer, remembering that Faith without works is dead. Good day.
