Kumbukumbu la Torati 5:22-27
22 Haya ndiyo maneno ambayo Bwana aliwaambia mkutano wenu wote mlimani kwa sauti kuu toka kati ya moto, na wingu, na giza kuu; wala hakuongeza neno. Akayaandika juu ya mbao mbili za mawe, akanipa.
23 Ikawa, mlipoisikia sauti ile toka kati ya giza, na wakati huo mlima ule ulikuwa ukiwaka moto, basi, mlinikaribia, naam, wakuu wote wa kabila zenu, na wazee wenu,
24 mkasema, Tazama, Bwana, Mungu wetu, ametuonyesha utukufu wake, na ukuu wake, nasi tunasikia sauti yake toka kati ya moto; mmeona leo ya kuwa Mungu husema na mwanadamu, naye akaishi.
25 Sasa basi, mbona tufe? Maana moto huu mkubwa utatuteketeza; tukiisikia tena sauti ya Bwana, Mungu wetu, tutakufa.
26 Maana katika wote wenye mwili ni nani aliyeisikia sauti ya Mungu aliye hai, akisema toka kati ya moto, kama vile sisi, asife?
27 Enenda karibu wewe, ukasikie yote atakayoyasema Bwana, Mungu wetu; ukatuambie yote atakayokuambia Bwana, Mungu wetu; nasi tutayasikia na kuyatenda.
Mungu au Ulimwengu;
Tunamuona Musa kama mwakilishi wa mapenzi ya Mungu. Mstari wa 27 unaonesha Israeli kuwa wanyoofu wakimwambia Musa aende mbele za Bwana, na awaletee ujumbe atakaopewa.
Bwana aliiona mioyo yao, akampa Musa ujumbe wa amri zake ili awaletee. Kumbe Mungu anapenda wale wanaomcha, na huwabariki;
Kumbukumbu la Torati 5:29
29 Laiti wangekuwa na moyo kama huu ndani yao sikuzote, wa kunicha, na kushika amri zangu zote sikuzote, wapate kufanikiwa wao na watoto wao milele!
Sisi tunaitwa kuwa wanyoofu, wasikivu, watiifu, katika njia ya Imani. Tunawajibika kusikiliza na kutii neno lake, ili kubaki katika njia sahihi ya ufuasi. Hapo ndipo mwisho wetu utakuwa mwema. Siku njema.
THURSDAY 10TH JUNE 2021, MORNING
Deuteronomy 5:22-27
22 These are the commandments the Lord proclaimed in a loud voice to your whole assembly there on the mountain from out of the fire, the cloud and the deep darkness; and he added nothing more. Then he wrote them on two stone tablets and gave them to me.
23 When you heard the voice out of the darkness, while the mountain was ablaze with fire, all the leaders of your tribes and your elders came to me. 24 And you said, “The Lord our God has shown us his glory and his majesty, and we have heard his voice from the fire. Today we have seen that a person can live even if God speaks with them. 25 But now, why should we die? This great fire will consume us, and we will die if we hear the voice of the Lord our God any longer. 26 For what mortal has ever heard the voice of the living God speaking out of fire, as we have, and survived? 27 Go near and listen to all that the Lord our God says. Then tell us whatever the Lord our God tells you. We will listen and obey.”
God or the Universe;
We see Moses as the representative of God's will. Verse 27 shows Israel being sincere in telling Moses to go before the Lord, and to bring them a message given to him.
The Lord saw their hearts, and he gave to Moses a message of commandments, to bring them. God loves those who fear Him, and blesses them;
Deuteronomy 5:29
29 O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!
We are called to be honest and obedient, in the way of Faith. We have a responsibility to listen to and obey his word, in order to remain on the right path of discipleship. If we do this, our end will be good. Good day.
