Jeremiah 26:1-6 New International Version (NIV)
Jeremiah Threatened With Death
1 Early in the reign of Jehoiakim son of Josiah king of Judah, this word came from the Lord: 2 “This is what the Lord says: Stand in the courtyard of the Lord’s house and speak to all the people of the towns of Judah who come to worship in the house of the Lord. Tell them everything I command you; do not omit a word. 3 Perhaps they will listen and each will turn from their evil ways. Then I will relent and not inflict on them the disaster I was planning because of the evil they have done. 4 Say to them, ‘This is what the Lord says: If you do not listen to me and follow my law, which I have set before you, 5 and if you do not listen to the words of my servants the prophets, whom I have sent to you again and again (though you have not listened), 6 then I will make this house like Shiloh and this city a curse[a] among all the nations of the earth.’”

- Jeremiah 26:6 That is, its name will be used in cursing (see 29:22); or, others will see that it is cursed.
If we repent our sins and return to God, he will forgive and favour us. Today God still speaks to us through his servants as he did to the nation of Israel through prophet Jeremiah in the above verses. Let's pay attention to the word of God through his servants.

YEREMIEA 26: 1-6
1 Mwanzo wa kumiliki kwake Yehoyakimu, mwana wa Yosia, mfalme wa Yuda, neno hili lilitoka kwa Bwana, kusema,
2 Bwana asema hivi, Simama katika uwanja wa nyumba ya Bwana, useme na miji yote ya Yuda, wajao ili kuabudu katika nyumba ya Bwana; sema nao maneno yote ninayokuamuru kuwaambia, usizuie hata neno moja.
3 Labda watasikia, na kughairi na kuacha kila mtu njia yake mbaya; ili niyaghairi mabaya niliyokusudia kuwatenda, kwa sababu ya uovu wa matendo yao.
4 Nawe utawaambia, Bwana asema hivi, Kama hamtaki kunisikia, kwenda katika sheria yangu, niliyoiweka mbele yenu,
5 kuyasikiliza maneno ya watumishi wangu, manabii, ninaowatuma kwenu, naam, nikiondoka mapema na kuwatuma; lakini ninyi hamkuwasikiliza;
6 basi, nitafanya nyumba hii kuwa kama Shilo, na mji huu nitaufanya kuwa laana kwa taifa zote za dunia.
Ikiwa tutatubu dhambi zetu na kurudi kwa Mungu, atatusamehe na kutuhurumia. Leo Mungu anaongea na sisi kupitia watumishi wake kama alivyofanya kwa taifa la Israeli kupitia nabii Yeremia katika aya zilizo hapo juu. Hebu tuzinagatie neno la Mungu kwa kupitia watumishi wake.
